You get to see a lot of Victorian style architecture. Although you will most likely not be able to explore any of the buildings from inside its a great place to walk around and enjoy the architectural marvel. Recommend time of the year is fall especially if you are driving from NY or upstate NJ.

Truly an iconic Ivy League university! The moment you enter the gates you can feel the 300 year history of this legendary university. The time capsules for each batch are a beautiful tradition and placed in a very aesthetics manner. The town of Princeton around the university is a great place to walk around among a truly accomplished crowd of people!

It’s beautiful!! It’s amazing to walk around the campus. It has a very Hogwarts magical vibe. The buildings, the built and everything about this place has a history (the good and the bad). It almost feels like having a connection with that history while you walk through this place.

I didn’t walk around the whole campus, but the buildings I saw were very beautiful. We stopped by in the evening and there was ample parking. I was pleased to see Ai Weiwei’s circle of zodiac heads displayed on the campus, it’s a very cool set of sculptures.

What is not to love about Princeton! It’s a beauty for all those who love the sheer brilliance of a human mind, both literally and metaphorically. The architecture is swoon-worthy! I have long been fascinated by the variety of architectural styles and movements that make up Princeton University’s 268-year-old campus. It is one of America’s oldest and most storied educational institutions, yet it has a surprisingly eclectic collection of nontraditional contemporary buildings. From modernism, postmodernism, deconstructivism, and rationalism, to Einstein and Nash, it is all here. Do stop by Palmer Square for an ice-cream break!

The best university in New Jersey and one the top public institutions in country. So big that there are 5 different campuses in the New Brunswick/Piscataway. A lot of great days on College Ave and Douglass and there is bus service to each part of campus which offers different things according to interests. Loved the football stadium as well

Overall Rutgers is a well run college and nicely commingles with the City of New Brunswick… HOWEVER.. PARENTS teach ur children how to COOK and use a kitchen appropriately before sending them off to live alone !! Microwaves are NOT clothing and hair piece DRYERS !! ALWAYS MONITOR your food while cooking.. UNATTENDED cooking is the leading cause of kitchen fires..

I come here to work the games and eat at the restaurant near the RAC.

He guided me through what he believes my strengths are and showed me excellent networking opportunities. NJIT allowed us to use their spaces for this trailblazer meetup and for this I’m grateful. It’s a great college. It has all the facilities that you probably could imagine- spacious reading rooms, brilliant professors, Mon-Fri tutoring centers, well maintained library- where you have access to all most all journals and periodicals, big gym, cheap buffet…The only thing you need is a mindset to study and use the resources. So if you have not got admission to Princeton, just come here and believe me you would never regret.

I attended an Open House event and it was well organized. They provided both print and app based agendas. It was easy to find our way around since they provided a map and posted guides throughout the campus. The academic session were thorough and insightful.

I’m teaching again at a music camp here this summer. The rooms and facilities at MSU’s John J. Cali School of Music are nice and Leshowitz Hall is good for concerts but the built-in audio visual systems in some of the ensemble rooms don’t work or are too complicated to understand. 1 star off for the wonky AV systems otherwise it seems to be a fine university.

A few years ago, I was admitted to a PhD program on full ride. In going through the doctoral contract, I noticed there was no emergency leave maternity policy in the doctoral contract. I was advised that there was no explicit maternity policy. When I asked them to implement one I did not receive a direct affirmative response. I was told that the maternity leave was as for everyone else, the semester in advance notice. However, this is not a policy for emergency pregnancy leave. I sent certified post to the Graduate School Dean at that time. No response, not even a letter or email.

As for the dean of the dept who had recently changed at that time, he was also less than helpful. The best they could do was say give a full semester notice to be able to take a leave.

I declined my PhD as I was told by the front office in the graduate school that if an emergency came up & I couldn’t complete the semester physically, they would have the right to require repayment of the PhD “free” tuition for whatever period they outlined. I was told by the front office that this policy would also apply to cancer patients who had to leave suddenly for cancer. Wow. That seemed very incongruent to have the policy which did not protect a doctoral student if they had to leave through no fault of their own due to medical emergency, God forbid.

Every school that has maternity policy for workers should have a maternity policy for Doctoral Students as well. Doctoral students if you know any, live on campus essentially day in and out. It’s not like emergencies happen every day! But the female students especially under-represented in STEM should be able to study their program without fear of owing tens of thousands of dollars should an unforseen medical emergency strike. I told my doctor and she was shocked that this could happen in this day and age. She said why would they do that? “Pregnancy is a natural condition of a female.” Not my words, direct from an OB. For a school that incessantly prattles about “diversity” I can honestly say they don’t seem to implement the words at all.

I completed a Master’s at Montclair and a certificate program. I was a very dedicated student and volunteered for years in the labs assisting professors. Even though most professors seemed to lean openly left of center politically, most were very kind and I had a good rapport with all of them personally. I do suggest that the school take steps to hire conservative professors so that conservative students will feel more at home.

I would caution that any professors in general should not be presenting their opinions on human embryonic stem cell research as science. There are ethical issues in this field that have to be acknowledged. Forcing students to socialize to this mentality is definitely an open failure. For example, because there was no clarification I was not even aware that the cell culture lines we were studying in the papers were from aborted babies. Nobody even cared to mention that fact. That would have definitely changed a lot of my opinions of the research. When I did find out through my own analysis, I avoided using any papers as citations that utilized the cell lines of these aborted babies. Almost impossible these days! But this is why it’s essential to hear dissenting voices. To say, hey wait, did you think about that? What are we saying as scientists when we do not even acknowledge the chain of custody of these tissues in the research literature?

I was all slated to teach as a TA and it truly was a crushing experience to go through having to decline my doctoral research after putting so much effort into the program and research proposal process.

Despite great and technically competent professors and beautiful labs, I would not recommend anyone to go here. It is my opinion that the higher ups just do not connect to the regular folks and there seem to be a lot of lefty causes on campus much stifling focus on the topic. It is also a very high price point and the earning potential may not be equivalent for most.

First visit to the university. Having in person classes excites me more. Pretty big campus , they even have a shuttle service. At the entrance I first saw the music and then theater courses, then the red hawk Building. I had a tour of gym , swimming pool, and classes . Everyone is nice and helping. Classes are big. They are following covid guidelines. Chairs are at distance from each other .

My name is Angelica and I am currently a sophomore Elementary/Special Education major here at Seton Hall. From the moment I was on campus I felt welcomed into the Seton Hall family and have loved every minute. The professors in my department are wonderful and care for every single one of their students. I love this university. I had time to study ESL program here and I would be attractable their plan. It was not only good professors, friendly and humorously friends, but also they (I mean the leaders of that university) have extremely detail their program for each of their students. Tutors and adviser are wonderful with many years to do that jobs. And another side, they have good material things to provide for education program. I enjoyed my free time at school in the main chapel, it is awesome
