This is how far out my truck sticks even when it’s kissing the pillar behind it. School would rather give 6 million dollars to its basketball coach rather than use it repaint larger spaces in their parking garage and to build another parking garage to include more parking. Must pay to do homework online. No one available to answer phones at any department ever. Staff is poorly trained, unprofessional, and not knowledgeable about their departments. Arrogant teachers who will yell at you for something as simple as using your phone. Counselors are always backed up for a month, which could be fixed yet again by redirecting funds, but that doesn’t make money… I could go on and on, but I will end with that this is the least accommodating and most poorly run business I’ve ever paid for. They treat the students like they only want their money, but then don’t even treat them like real customers. The only saving grace this school has is that it’s clean. Would transfer if I had the money to.

EDIT: Had to change my rating to one star after the campus decided to start citing students for lack of parking permits early this year without notification. Seriously, they have the time to spam us with these stupid Rebel News articles every week, but not enough time to send an email about something that actually matters? They will find any reason to charge you extra fees as long as it makes them money. WORST BUSINESS IN THE CITY!

Was able to get my covid-19 vaccine shot here. The staff and volunteers did an excellent job of moving people through the line quick and efficiently. The setup was planned out very well so that everything just naturally flowed through the student union building. There was plenty of parking available as well. Everything was by appointment only so be sure to set that up before you go. My appointment was at 1:30 and I was done and back on the road by 1:55 and that is with a mandatory 15 minuet wait where they have you just sit to make sure that you don’t have an adverse reaction to the vaccine. I definitely recommend getting your shot here if you are eligible.

So organized, systematic, fast in and out vaccination process. All the staff from the entrance, check in, shots, waiting and exit areas are all so friendly, welcoming, accommodating, and appreciative that you get yourself vaccinated. It was a very comforting experience for my first dose.

I contacted this school to see if my son could take the atmospheric science bachelor’s degree in vegas instead of reno and their response was that they had no idea. I guess I’ll be looking elsewhere. Rude

If you think about going here AVOID seeing the academic advisor MARTHA PANDURO. The amount of unprofessional behavior from this person is atrocious. She’s rude condescending, disrespectful, and won’t help you. She will talk over you and constantly cut you off. If you have to see an advisor request someone else and avoid her at all cost. I’ve seen all these bad reviews on here and now I understand why by the people they employ here. They need to do a clean house and get rid of people who don’t want to be there to help students including her. Absolute trash.

The academic advisor told me that I have to repeat my U.S high school diploma in order to apply for the nursing degree although I have a high school diploma from my home country which is definitely recognised in the USA. I never had a problem with my high school diploma in the USA. I did not go 13 years to high school and pass several exams in order to be told that I have to go back to high school. Later I figured out that he was wrong and did not know what he was talking about. I think it is wrong to hire people who do not have the right information.

The professors in this college shun everyone’s political bias if they are republican. I was told that I’m a threat to society because I support trump. My learning experience here isn’t a good one

This place completely screwed me over. I’m from California and I started college out there. Came to Nevada to be with family and wanted to continue my education. I enrolled in my first semester and got set up with financial aid. I thought all was good until I went to buy books and they said i couldn’t use my financial aid for the books. I would have to pay out of pocket and be reimbursed later… In California, financial aid does not work this way and this absolutely baffled me. I don’t get help from family as my family is poor. I work to try to help pay theirs and my own bills. I cannot just afford $800+ worth of books without notice. So I dropped out of the semester with W’s. I received no financial aid, but I had been approved for it. Somehow, despite not having received any financial aid, I now OWE them what I got approved for…??? I couldn’t even afford my books so of course I couldn’t afford to pay a couple thousand in financial aid that I never received. So naturally, the school sent it to collections and it is now ruining my credit. No education, no financial aid. Just debt.

My student, like many other students in 2020, struggled amidst the pandemic. Instead of compassion and empathy, this school – College of Southern Nevada High School South – dropped my student on the last of the last week of 2020. This put my student and I in a scramble to find a school to go to in less than two weeks during a time when schools were mostly closed. College of Southern Nevada High School South only cares about GPAs; they couldn’t care less about the mental well-being of students! Parents beware: this school will drop your student if his/her grades drop, no matter what the reason. And they’ll leave you to scramble to find your student’s next school.

It’s so sad to say but the speech department is a hot mess right now. There are really good teachers, but there’s also really horrible teachers. I wanted to love this school because it’s the only school here in Las Vegas that offers a degree in speech pathology. But after having terrible teachers like Christy Fleck, I feel like dropping out. It’s not even that the material is hard, it’s that the instructor herself does not know how to teach. How can you succeed in a school where the instructors put information on tests that aren’t covered in the textbook, class, or modules? How can you succeed in school and learn from your mistakes when professors don’t give you feedback on assignments until LITERALLY the last day of school, and have assignments that build off of each other. I want to love this school because there are really great teachers here, but the horrible teachers really mess it up for everyone else. This school has a lot of organization issues and have corruption issues; they all cover each others butts. They don’t look for the student’s best interests and that to me is enough to not want to come here anymore.

This school is a great experience. It is a small yet influential college and my time there has been extremely challenging and fun. The study resources to help students succeed and on-campus community events are unmatched. They have a cadaver lab which is unheard of for undergraduate college. The downside of this school is that they lump the Biology program in with the Liberal Arts school not giving the science degrees the attention they deserve.

Nevada State College has been a great school to me. It’s a growing school so we may not have all the amenities a big university does, but we are getting there. The professors are great and approachable so long as the student is willing to learn. Be warned, it is competitive, especially those who plan on entering the nursing program. Its a competitive industry and can you blame them if they want to weed out those that do not have what it takes to succeed in the program?

The student center is a very unfriendly experience, there is a male and female with braids at the front desk. The female seems very rude, no customer services skills at all working at the front desk. Then you hear her get off a call and talk bad about the person calling into the college student center. I thought this college would be great to go to. Now I’m second guessing. The advisors seems unfairly not one smile.

Sometimes I love this school and other times I absolutely hate it. The instructors are split down the middle with wonderful and absolutely horrid. The class selection is awful because of lack of staff. Only one class is offered per most subjects and they’re offered at times no working person can attend. The advising office is a total joke. Don’t even bother talking to an adviser.

My husband is a patient and he just loves his doctor. His doctor takes care of what is bothering him at the time and he does a follow up on what was bothering in the past. He is very thorough. We live 45 minutes from this place but my husband insists he sees his doctor. Staff is great!! I wish I knew their names but there’s one at the front desk who is so nice, she has dark hair and then there is another one who sits behind her who is always there, she has dark hair too but the one I remember is Jessica. She is just so friendly and she really is patient and doesn’t rush us out. Other places do that. I like the staff a lot. Everyone there deserves a raise.

This place is horrible.my husband ran out of his medicine because they denied his refill because he had not been in for 90 days leaving him without blood pressure meds and suffering withdrawal from other medicine. They never called to tell him they denied at pharmacy and he would need to come in. We attempted to straighten out and get refills by making appt but staff was rude and unhelpful and bad drs. I took him to urgent care and called insurance company to get a new provider. don’t leave your health in their hands. They also want you to come every 30 days when not necessary to be able to bill your insurance company. They have no online help or after hour or weekend help. We now are with Southwest Medical who has all .
Correct protocol would be to give him enough meds to last until they could get him in and instead left him suffering withdrawas and missing work. They apparently do not understand the liability of that.

My wife and I have been going to the clinic for years. Everyone is very friendly and they really do care. Even when extremely busy, they take the time to explain things to you! We appreciate Touro University!! Thanks for being there!

Horrible Office Staff in the billing department. The Manager is so Rude and speaks rude to patients. The Dr there would never address any of my issues if it wasnt something related to whatever was on his screen. After I started to feel better he refused to listen sand told me because I wouldnt take the RX he recommended that I didnt NEED him then. He didnt do routine blood work during my flare ups and was unemotional and wouldnt ask me any questions outside of his stupid little computer-
