I’d not been to Red Lobster since before 2020 (Covid Pandemic), so lunch there today was a special treat. Everything was served in a timely manner, the mixed drinks were delicious and the food was well-prepared. My only proviso was that the Lobster stuffed potato (an upcharged side) had hardly a teaspoon, if that much, of Lobster and looked nothing like heaping amount the picture advertised.
That should have been checked before it left the kitchen… next time I will ask to return it.
Our server Mari was very friendly, attentive and professional, she was excellent!

First time having Cheddar Bay biscuits and they were soft and warm and they were good. I don’t eat seafood but my girlfriend said she ordered a pound of crab legs but she said that wasn’t a pound and they were bland. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sammich and it was pretty good. I though it was gonna be spicy but it wasn’t. Waitress was nice.

Such a wonderful experience. The staff is incredible. If I could rate the service higher than 5 star 🌟 I would. Food was on point 👌 and we had little to no wait time. I had a party of 8, and they got us seated and fed right away. We will definitely return. I haven’t been to a red lobster in 10+ years but we randomly decided to go last night and we were not disappointed. We were seated quickly. The food was hot, fresh and came out in a reasonable amount of time. The drinks were perfect. Our server Davanna took excellent care of us. We are big on customer service and her attentiveness professionalism and efficiency was top tier. We would come back just to sit in her section.

Open for dining and the wait staff was excellent. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was delicious! Thank you for a great experience. I recommend this place although corporate should drop the masks. People touching their masks is gross and a lot more unsanitary then just breathing without the mask. Watch your employees they pull the mask up in the exact spot where their nose and mouth breathes outwardly into the mask. Overall thank you for a great experience!👍

Usually pretty good. Not sure on my last visit. I had the stuff lobster with fish. It ended up looking like two fish nuggets in salty bowl of soup. Looked like I just ordered a kids meal. Broccoli was soggy. Definitely would not order this again.

Staff was very friendly and awesome but the place lacked clean up, lots of food, crumbs and trash on the floor. Could have been a bit more clean and sanitary but other then that it was fine.

A change in management equals a fantastic dining experience… like it used to be! It’s pretty easy to see Christy Green is making a HUGE difference at Red Lobster. Go see for yourself.

Came to enjoy dinner while gazing at the fish, need to bring my sketchbook next time! 🐠 The food was yummy but nothing like knock your socks off, priced a bit high, but the atmospheres great! Would definitely recommend to try if you’re a Springfieldian or a tourist.

Came here after the aquarium. It’s conveniently located in the same building. Was able to explore the Bass Pro Shop downstairs while we waited for our table. Food was good and fish-focused even though there were other dishes for non-fish lovers, service was attentive, and the ambience was just what I wanted!

Ate lunch here on 4/2/22. They had the buffet because of the Fishing Fair event at Bass Pro. It was delicious! Was going to go for seconds, but what you see filled me up. My drink, Kiss on the Lips, was very good. We will be back.

Overall: HIGHLY RECOMMENT. WE PLAN TO RETURN AS MANY TIMES AS WE CAN. This is more than a place to eat.

Parking & Entrances: multiple, well planned
Location: very easy to find, within a mile of major freeway
View: incredible, almost makes it hard to pay attention to eating
Atmosphere: hard to beat, immense aquarium at very long bar
Menu: unusual, fantastic, delicious, serves landlovers and oceanlovers. Salmon is absolutely to die for. I grew up in Seattle, eating freshly caught and bbq’d salmon. This is as good as I had there. Not joking. Order it a little underdone, and it will be plated with the utmost care and precision. Fried pickles are amazing—crisp, lots of ’em. Elk burgers—-OMG. Very tasty. Mahi Mahi is very tasty if you like this type of fish. Mashed potatoes—-delicious. I ordered an extra container to take home with me. Green beans are out of this world. Crunchy, thin, seasoned. Wow.
Price: a little high; you’ll drop $75 for two people, incl tip
Staff: Server Kristina is on top of her game. Manager Peter pays attention to your experience. Chef Jerry is prepares salmon like chefs in 5 star NYC restaurants.
After meal: shopping & store is a destination in itself
Neighborhood: w/in 5 miles of two major hospital conglomerates, will provide a welcome and refreshing dinner away if you’re there to support a family member in the hospital. Major retailers: Lowes, HD, WM, WG, Kohl’s, gas stations, groceries
Roads: well marked, turn lanes well thought out, traffic predictable
Store: fascinating, well stocked, hands on, well staffed, provides goods for many different types of people, non-judgmental employees that understand young children’s interest in exploring things—the many aquaria, displays, animals, waterfalls, glass elevators, abundant stairs, museums. Perhaps plan to spend a few hours in the store.
Destination: if you’re on a lengthy trip, this would be a good place to stop and stretch your legs. Plenty of hotels near, or perhaps they’ll let you park your RV in their lot.

Everything is worth the price, even it went up a little bit after Covid. Service here is decent. The only thing i want to mention is my steak was over cooked. I asked for medium rare but it was medium well.

Service was fine and the food didn’t take too long at all. And I’m thankful for all the hard workers there. The crab cakes were pretty good but that was about it. Nothing had any flavor at all to be honest. I got the choose your own platter with coconut shrimp, golden fried whitefish, and the fried scallops so I could try out different things but all for naught. This was only my second time here and I don’t recall what I ate the first so maybe this just isn’t the restaurant for me.

The lobster bake was delicious! My husband enjoyed the Alfredo. The burger was well done but then my daughter didn’t specify that she wanted it medium. Great service and clean restaurant.

Kaylee’s was our server and did a wonderful job. Drinks came out very fast and the appetizer was very tasty. My fish & chips was plentiful and I took half of it home. My wife’s New Orleans Salmon & Shrimp was great and we took half of it home also. This was a meal we will remember.

Food was okay but they couldn’t accept the $50 gift card I wanted to pay with even when I could show them it had a balance when checking it on their website. They claimed something must be down with their system. That’s really not my problem, tho. I wouldn’t of even come to eat here had I known they couldn’t take my gift card. The manager had every ability to help the situation but they failed. What a huge disappointment for my birthday dinner, never again

Thee place to dine when in Springfield Illinois! We visit Springfield 3 times a year for our Elks State Convention and we eat at Chesapeake every time on Friday night

Food and drinks are exceptional and the prices are extremely reasonable for the quantity and quality. Michele was our waitress this time I did it fantastic job taking care of the 14 of us!

The ambience of the restaurant is phenomenal due to the fact that it’s well over 100 years in the making.

A must stop when in Springfield Illinois!

Great evening dining experience for the whole family. Very nice building, with a very nice decor inside, with some cool sea and shipping items. The food is warm and very tasty, with options like chicken and other fare other than just their very good seafood. The staff is very polite, courteous and attentive. Conveniently located, with plenty of parking. Nice dining experience!

I never leave reviews but felt compelled to do so. I was in town for a conference and this place was recommended. It did not disappoint! The crab stuffed mushrooms were phenomenal! The blackened red snapper was AMAZING. Honestly the best red snapper I’ve ever had! I was pleasantly surprised at the overall experience including the ambiance. Great job team!! 👏🏾
