The food was delicious!!! My husband had the crusted red snapper over mash potatoes with some kind of shrimp sauce. I had chicken Alfredo. We had the spinach artichoke dip and mushroom stuffed with blue crab for appetizers. Everything was perfectly seasoned and the portions were a nice size. We will definitely go back and I highly recommend it. We also met chef Jason. He was a really cool guy who obviously knows his way around the kitchen.By Alicia Smith (3 months ago)Stopped in on St Patrick’s Day. Wasn’t that crowded. The service was average & the food sub par. The Seafood Boil came w/ 10 steamed shrimps 3 little potatoes 3 pieces of sausages & 1/3 of a corn on the cob. Not really worth $23 for the small portions & definitely not a real seafood boil IMO. Other wise not to bad.By BA R (10 months ago)We’ve been here once before and loved our first trip but this visit just short of our first visit. I had crab bisque and it was delicious, as was my Blackened Grouper Florentine. Two thumbs up from me! My wife ordered a low country boil (her favorite) and a Caesar salad. Her shrimp were not deveined so she had to work a bit for her meal and I don’t recall us having to do this during our first visit. I could be wrong because she’s had so many low country boils over the last 2 years but either way, it would have been nice of the shrimp was deveined. The Caesar salad is not your typical Caesar and that threw her off a bit too. Decent salad, just not what we expected. In their defense, they did label it a “Regency Caesar Salad” and described the ingredients which we clearly missed before ordering. Again, not a perfect 5 but definitely a solid 4 for us.By Art Fink (6 months ago)There is plenty of room for dining and nice environment. The food was hot and fresh! The menu has a variety of choices and some popular favorites. So much to choose from and it’s probably all good, based on the fried platter I ordered! Great pick to support local restaurants by river.By Carl Robinson III (10 months ago)This is a great restaurant! The environment was wonderfully relaxing. It was not crowded. We had the Bacon wrapped BBQ Shrimp, Buffalo Shrimp and the Shrimp Tacos with fries. It was all delicious and reasonably priced. The beverages were also great..The Savannah River Mermaid was very tasty. Service was excellent. Our server was Nia and she was AWESOME! So if your looking for a great place to eat with friendly servers this is the place to go! WE WILL DEFINITELY BE GO BACK!By Debi Peters (8 months ago)

Very good! I had ordered fried shrimp with crab legs. All the reviews are true. Huge portions and expensive. My combination order cost was 60.40 😮💨 I would definitely order it again.the shrimp had a slight zest to it definitely loved. They could reduce their portion size because whew I was stuffed. But great company! I highly recommendBy Brittany B (2 months ago)We stopped here on a whim during our road trip. Best decision ever!!!! The portions are HUGE! We ordered the cast net and it was enough to share and have some to go! The flavor of the alligator tail and hush puppies were so good. Service was so fast. We never asked for refills and they came! The food only took about 5-10 minutes and was hot and fresh tasting. The restaurant has cool fishing theme decorations and is family friendly. There’s outdoor group seating and lots of space between tables. We will be back!By Z D (10 months ago)Although the wait for the table took a bit long, it was worth the wait. I had the Cast Net, my family had the Big Daddy, we also tried the Gator for appetizer, our first time and it was pretty good! Everything was perfect and delicious! We will be back for sure!By Rxx Hxx (6 months ago)MAN, WE ATE & WE ATE GOOD!! 🤣
Discovered this spot reading reviews here, THANKS EVERYONE!
We had fried catfish, boiled shrimp, red rice (too sweet for me so I changed to cheesy grits instead), whole flounder, green beans, fries & bada bing shrimp which were YUMMY!! They are fried crispy and tossed in this semi-buffalo sauce. Very tasty, not spicy at all.
After dinner we went out to the small pier & fed the turtles & fishes. We were told there’s a gator there but we didn’t see him.
Don’t let the busy parking lot steer deter you, we were told there was a 30 minute wait so we went to the bar & discovered we could eat & order there. Soon as we ordered, in 20 minutes, they told us our table is ready.
GOOD CALL FOR DINNER!!!
By Ms. Petey (7 months ago)Came in for our 10th Anniversary. We both had the snow boil. Best shrimp I have ever had out! Cooked perfect and this coming from a Beaufort native who has cooked shrimp all his life. Portions were HUGE! Staff was very attentive and owner checked with us personally.By Dean Fleming (a year ago)

We were trying to find a place to eat on a Saturday night that wasn’t packed. We saw the good reviews for this place and decided to check it out. The line moved quickly despite it being somewhat busy. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. My husband got the low country shrimp boil and it was amazing. I got the fried calamari with fries and a cup of clam chowder. Everything but the calamari was super fresh and the temperature was HOT (which we love!). The calamari wasn’t as hot as everything else, but it was by no means cold. We sat outside, which was nice. The pricing was good considering it’s seafood. Drinks were good, too. Overall, 10/10!By Trinity Howard (8 months ago)What a delicious meal! 😋 I ordered the low country shrimp 🍤 boil, it was good, perfectly cooked, but could have used a touch more seasoning. It had a spicy kick but not overwhelming (I wish I had asked for more heat) The fish tacos were really good but took forever to get them. Cute place.By Ingrid Rodgers (4 months ago)Googled ‘good Savannah lunch spots’ and found this gem. Absolutely incredible for an out of town couple looking for a southern seafood spot. Great menu and serving sizes, fast casual environment. Didn’t realize ownership also runs Savannah Smokehouse which we also highly recommend.By Clay J (9 months ago)We loved it so much we were there twice while visiting our son. It was my honeys first experience to have a low country boil, which I knew what it was being from Alabama and New Orleans (visiting from Colorado). My honey decided the second time he didn’t like working so hard for his food, but it was an experience. I wish I could eat there everyday- but it’s kinda far from Colorado. I miss fresh seafood so much.By Nadelle Payne (6 months ago)Great food in a great location! Savannah Seafood Shack is a must try if you are visiting!
Very extensive menu with steam seafood, fried seafood and sandwiches. Has a great lunch menu as well!
Low country boil is seasoned perfectly!
Has indoor and outdoor seatings. Great for family and kids.
Very friendly staff! Can get extremely crowded. So budget plenty of time.

Beautiful atmosphere. Our waitress Shelby was very nice and attentive. The food was great and came out super quick!! The fried green tomatoes were the best I’ve ever had. My husband got the gumbo which was excellent as well. The pretzel appetizer was super as well. There was salt and sugar on it which just took it over the top. Great selection of specialty cocktails as well. Absolutely recommend this restaurant when in the area!!By C Fab (3 months ago)Highly recommend. Stopped here on a whim with my husband and two small children. They are child friendly, excellent service, and amazing food. I highly recommend the pecan bourbon salmon. Drinks were also excellent. Will definitely return. ❤️
Edit: we returned the next day and the drinks, food, and service were all consistently good. Our server Shelby was so sweet and has the best service.
By Katie Murphy (a month ago)Sidney, our wait person was delightful, attentive, and efficient. The food was very good. One had Shrimp and Grits and thought it was very good. Another had Bourbon Salmon and liked it. I had steamed oysters and Lobster & Crab Bisque. Both were enjoyable. But the oysters, though prepared well, were quite small. I heard another table say the same. Desserts were Peach Cobbler and White Chocolate Coconut Pie. Both were delicious. Maybe the best item was a Roasted Old Fashioned. omg! Wish I had ordered it! I will tomorrow. Nice restaurant and we’d definitely go back.By Steve Kelliher (4 months ago)A nice little place with great food. The Savannah smash drink was delicious. For starters we had the crab cake and pretzel with beer cheese. Both were delightful. Our main courses were the red snapper on risotto and pecan crusted salmon on sweet potato smash. Both of the meals were savory and delectable. They were very good. Then for dessert we had the pecan pie and peach cobbler. Sweet and tasty. We would both highly recommend this place.By Javi Gallegos (3 months ago)Our first dinner on our first visit to Savannah. We were greeted pleasantly by the people at the hostess stand and quickly seated at our table. Our server,Shelby, took good care of us. My wife tried and liked the Georgia peach margarita. We started with the crab cake which was tasty. My wife had potato soup and the shrimp and lobster roll sandwich with coleslaw. I had the bourbon salmon with pecans on a bed of greens and sweet potato. Both were very good. Dessert was chocolate and hazelnut bread pudding and coffee, also very enjoyable.By andrew vigueira (9 months ago)

It’s a pretty big place, doesn’t have a parking spot but there’s private parking near by, it has several props inside including a shark that looks awesome, several seats in and out, BTW there a big boat parking in the backyard as per photos.
In regards of the service it was good, took a time for them to assign to us a table and took little bit more to take our order, luckily the bartender was super proactive and help us with everything I’m really happy with the service he provided to us.
In regards of the food, it was outstanding I really loved the seafood I ordered and the drinks were fun with lights and everything.
By Aank Sandoval (11 months ago)This place was so much fun!! We loved it enough to go back and try more! The first day we got to watch a cargo ship, tugboat , ferry and more on the water! Our waiter was so friendly and served a great long Island. I ordered a side salad (great deal) and added a few of my friends chicken tenders.
The second day we split a snow crab bucket with shrimp and corn and it was pretty good. The bloody Mary was fantastic. Even the sweet tea was just right! The gift shop was full of cute items and just a really well run establishment. The manager was Bryan B. and he is great at what he does! Our waitress was Sanieka and she was AMAZING. The entire team keeps a smile on their face it was a great experience all around.By Parker Smith (9 months ago)Great place for dining beside the Savannah River. Clean and decorated tastefully for the area’s nautical flavor.
Clay was the perfect wait staff; knowledgeable and careful to help us order items that are available. The salads are fresh romaine with lots of toppings. The grilled fish with rice and vegetables was delicious.
The nacho plate was a surprising large appetizer and lots of flavors. Keep up the great work to Joe’s Crab Shack.By Nana’s kitchen (4 months ago)Had a wonderful meal and time here! Right on the riverfront with a unique style to it. There’s a gift shop up front for their restaurant. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Our waiter gave us great insight into what was best on the menu for food and drinks. I ordered the crab and shrimps nachos, which were amazing! I also got a Margherita. I loved all my foods and drinks. The establishment was clean and spacious. We set outside on the deck. Don’t feed the pigeons! Had a great time and will definitely come back.By Emily Waters (3 months ago)Had a challenge with the host wanting to seat us at a small table but once we got past the attitude at the door, our waitress was friendly and accommodating and just great! Food was delicious and it was a great experience. We sat inside due to the temps and were able to sit at a booth near the windows.By Hilary Behrens (6 months ago)
