Decent experience overall. We came on a Friday and the wait was 1 hour, 40 minutes (for a first available table at that – we were seated inside). The bright side is that you can join the waiting list from their website, so you can hangout nearby (beach, casinos, etc). The overall vibe is awesome — the views can’t be beat, and it’s just a cute restaurant overall. The shrimp was amazing, but my steak came out closer to medium rare inside when I asked for it medium well. Servers were quick and friendly though. Would consider returning if we are ever through town again!

Great venue on the beach overlooking the sea. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Food was tasty and enjoyable. We tried the gator bites and shrimp platter. Both were good and if you haven’t tried gator bites,I’d recommend trying them at Shaggy’s. Drinks were well made and prices are reasonable.

The service was awesome. Shandy was very kind and fun. We ordered several things including appetizers. The shrimp was great. The rest of the food was ok. Not bad at all but not as good as it could be. I never expect much from a predominantly tourist style beachfront restaurant but this one was definitely one of the better ones I’ve been too.

Went here for dinner while in town. Food was PHENOMENAL. Service was unbeatable. Loved the atmosphere. Manager was absolutely the best. Going back for dinner tonight before we leave. Try the crab and corn bisque and the burgers. You won’t regret!

Such a fun place with a great view of the beach! Palm trees, listening to the waves, nice breeze, great food, overall great experience. We will definitely be back! We sat outside and watched the sun set. They had cute lights on the deck. Kind of romantic 💕. They do have an inside with a bar and tvs if the weather wasn’t nice or you needed some ac or heat 😀

I ordered Salmon -well done, but the center was rare. The flavor was very good. The two others at my table were somewhat satisfied with Shrimp & Chicken salad (3/5) and the chicken Alfredo was good, maybe a 4/5 rating.

For the price I probably wouldn’t return, consistency should be expected at this price.

Most importantly, the atmosphere seemed somber. Almost like the staff were mourning something that had happened. I didn’t ask or pry, maybe they were just unhappy to be working on a holiday (Memorial Day). It wasn’t just 1 or 2 people. We noticed as we looked around the restaurant…from the greeter to the servers to what appeared to be a manager…everyone looked somber.

Of course I didn’t complain as I was able to eat 75% of my salmon. We still tipped as usual. Nobody was rude and we didn’t feel neglected. It just wasn’t a warm reception and we felt almost like a burden being there.

First time trying this restaurant. We went to the roof top. Weather was gorgeous with cool breeze and sitting in the open area felt very nice. My son ordered a shrimp pasta and I had grilled chicken sandwich with fries. Chicken on my sandwich was so small that I had to get rid of pretty much all of my bread. Food was priced reasonably though. Will definitely return.

We wanted to try a good seafood restaurant and we were not disappointed. Tried the crab dip, seafood platter and oysters. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted scrumptious. Prices are reasonable for fresh seafood. Service was good and staff were friendly. If you’re looking for fresh seafood at a great venue overlooking the beach and sea, look no further.

great experience! food quality and overall experience and the price are beyond our expectation! not to mention it has such great view even on a bad weather day!
the restaurant has its patio covered up with heavy film which isolated the outdoor dining hall from heavy rain and wind, along with the heater on roof make the environment very cozy. Todd was our server, very nice guy with great services!

The Reef probably has the best Shrimp and Grits I’ve ever had. I was very unsure about order the Swam Island Shrimp & Grits because of the appears of grit cakes in the description. I walked out of faith and tried it anyway. The flavor of this dish blow my mind! I have to have it again and soon. I also had oysters and alligator bites as an appetizer. As you can imagine, the Swam Island Shrimp & Grits stole the show. The reef also has a gift shop with souvenirs, t-shirts, ice cream, and a lot more. For a wonderful dining experience in Biloxi this is the place to go to. The wait was less than 10 minutes to be seated. The staff was very friendly and were able to answer all our questions about the menu. The appetizer was delicious and very flavorful. The main dishes were all piping hot when delivered to our table. The fish and seafood was fresh and delicious, the chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the sides were perfect. Overall it couldn’t have been a better experience. The wait staff kept the drinks full and the bathrooms were very clean. The dining on the second floor was very nice. I can’t wait to eat here again it is well worth the price!

Surprisingly, despite how busy it was, we got sat immediately. The atmosphere was great and the dining room is spacious and clean.

All the food was delicious and the portion sizes were just enough to keep us full but let us clean our plate. Their cocktails are a must as we all three got different kinds and found them all delicious.

Only complaint is the price of their oysters. Even plain, raw oysters are quite expensive (about 2$ a shell, 12$ for half a dozen). This might be due to me being from the Eastern Shore where oysters are abundant and a lot cheaper!

Our waiter, Chris, was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu and each item’s preparation. We had the fried green tomatoes and oyster sampler for appetizer and they were absolutely delicious! Our favorite oyster had the Orleans sauce with an amazing mix of smoky, spicy and sweet. The voodoo shrimp po boy was massive and had the right balance of flavors (right down to the pickles) and the blackened snapper was the light, fresh and seasoned perfectly! We enjoyed our lunch so much, we went right back the next day!

Very good food in a nice atmosphere. The Oyster Sampler was excellent and provided three of each cooked Oyster type. The Seafood Stuffed Portabella and the Smoky Bacon Shrimp and Grits were very well made and did not disappoint.

My husband and I decided on lunch at the Half Shell House and we were not disappointed. We were greeted by the host and seated on the second floor. The atmosphere was inviting, comfortable and had a cozy New Orleans vibe. Our server was extremely helpful in answering menu item questions and was very pleasant and friendly. Everything on the menu sounded fantastic, so we of course over ordered, but with the smaller lunch menu portions we were able to finish what we ordered. We both ordered the watermelon splash cocktail with salted rim… Do good we had another! The crawfish cornbread was incredible.
We also had their beinville oysters. The oysters were huge and absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the lunch shrimp and grits and I had the lunch seafood stuffed portobellos. The prices were great and the food could not have been better. So yourself a favor and enjoy a great meal here. You won’t be disappointed.

Heard good things about this place and came to try it. There are stairs and also an elevator to get you up to the restaurant.

It was pretty busy when we arrived on a Saturday night, but we didn’t have to wait too long, maybe 15 minutes.

Our server was Pamela, and she was excellent. The food was good, and you get quite a lot of it. They have some tables outside that overlook the water. You can also walk out there to check out the views.

Descent but I don’t think we would return. Three of us we’re seated right away. Very very busy place, loud & the atmosphere is like a cafeteria, in my opinion. ~ It is very welcoming to families & small children. The view of the Ocean is nice. Can accommodate large groups. We had Land & Sea, a shrimp dish with fried green tomatoes, Steak & Mushrooms, Grilled Scallop’s ~ 7 layer lemon cake & cheesecake.
Averaged the ticket divided 3 ways was $41.80 each without tip ~ I don’t believe any of our meals were worth that amount of money.

What a great find!!! The place was nice and clean with a great view. All the food was top notch and no one left hungry. The staff was prompt, friendly, and attentive. A definite recomend, it’s a destination you shouldn’t pass up. From Disneyland to Las Vegas to New Orleans this was far and above the best meal of our trip…..and definitely not the most expensive.

We had been told this was a must on places to go and in our excitement maybe we went in expecting a little too much. We had a party of 10, not a long wait. Venue was nice and clean. The waitress we had was really nice and did her job very well. The food was really disappointing. One person at our whole party finished his meal. He got the brownie dessert. My husband and his best friend (and wife) got shrimp. One got peel and eat, one got fried, one got popcorn NO ONE liked theirs. My husband felt horrible rest of the night. He did not get sick but he felt it. I had grilled chicken breast which was exactly as ordered but was extremely small.. And when I cut into it it wouldn’t cut at all. It wasn’t burnt it was just like rubber 🤷🏼‍♀️ we let them know almost everyone at table was disappointed… Some had been before and said it was really good so maybe it was a bad night but it was all for us.
Would NOT recommend this restaurant, food was unacceptable.

Great views! Good atmosphere and staff! We ordered a number of things and nothing was really spectacular. I had shrimp and the fried shrimp was good but the peel and eat was mushy that were the smallest you can get. To pay $22 I thought it was overpriced. Expecting a place that is located around fishing boats I would expect more. i didnt order any fish so I cant say anything on that. If you want a great resturaunt that has good views this is it, but I would not have high expectations.

Our experience here was not great but the evening we went, there was a retirement party so I’m sure that had an impact on things. We had a 45 minute wait for a table to we walked across to Harrah’s and did some gambling while we waited. It took a while to get our food and my wife’s chicken sandwich was dry. One of my daughter’s said her food was cold. My sandwich was okay, nothing to really rave about. Our server was great, she didn’t charge us for my wife’s sandwich and quickly got her some popcorn shrimp for free. As you can see, the views are amazing. It’s a great place to sit and watch the sunset. I would like to give them another chance, like I said, I’m willing to attribute the experience to the retirement party so we’ll see.

We visited with three people for lunch on a Wednesday and were quickly seated. It was hot and we had to sit at the bar where there was a breeze and cold beverages! Bar service was quick and we decided on the seafood nachos. Food came out quickly and it was hot and fresh prepared. The nachos were tasty but a little short on seafood. Drinks were good and the scenery is awesome. Facility is fairly clean for a beach location.

I’ll go back when I visit again.

Best seafood restaurant hands-down in Mississippi visited from South Florida last week was the party is six alcohol included we are under 150 definitely worth it the royal reds to die for the Po boy the mermaid water the grouper sandwich the boss hog fried shrimp everything five stars. Can I just say the cocktail menu is everything and the bartender was even greater .

What a great place. Get shrimp and more shrimp! Have drinks outside a the cutest bar and just enjoy the view and chill. My husband does not like seafood so he had the burger and said “it was great”

Nice spot to get a drink and a snack while looking out over the water. Cocktail special was great and you can purchase a souvenir mug with any well drink or beer. Loaded fries were good and the shrimp tacos were tasty.
