I have never been disappointed here. I had the mango crush and it was so good. For lunch I had the tuna zoodle salad and it was tasty. Not really zoodles, more like spirals. The view of the Delaware River from their deck is a nice bonus.

Had a great dinner. Alicia was our waitress and was excellent. I had clam chowder with a side of sherry. Wife had corn balls which were good. I had rockfish with crab cake.. excellent. Wife had chicken with apples and cranberries.. was very good

I went here in August with my boyfriend and friends.

Environment: We sat outside on their patio and it was a really nice experience. We had just finished a long walk in the hot weather and we’re able to sit near a fan to cool off. The area was very cute and clean.

Customer Service: The waitress was nice and attentive. She would check in us periodically and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal.

Food/Drinks: The food and drinks were delicious! We all were super happy with our meals and the drinks we chose. I don’t remember exactly what we all got but I remember the cheesy fries being popular and I loved the mussels that I ordered.

Overall, it was a good experience. We all had fun and even had a few laughs with the server! I definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area and looking for delicious and unique food options.

Home Grown is not just the name, but the Menu!! Every dish was so fresh and delicious! Even the bottled Strawberry Lemonade was naturally sweet, super refreshing and not sugary at all. This is definitely a great place for a tasty, freshly made meal. My next visit there I’ll be sitting on the outdoor patio enjoying a mimosa for brunch 🥂

This artsy vegetarian friendly location is truly a large part of why I knew Newark, DE and the University of Delaware were the places for me. Both times I visited the university before committing, I knew for certain the place to eat was Home Grown. The large menu, adorably artsy atmosphere, and the versatility of the food perfect for any diet create an unforgettable experience!

We went for brunch on Sunday. The server was friendly and very fast with service. We got the mimosas and we didn’t have to ask for refills on it, she had them coming right on time. The food was delicious, the booths were comfy and spacious, and the decor was nice. Parking was super easy in the lot behind the restaurant. We’ll definitely be coming back.

The menu has a wide variety of options (from burgers to Asian noodle bowls) with plenty of choices for vegetarians and gluten sensitive people. The atmosphere is casual and the artwork is fun, you’ll often see a lot of the local college crowd inside. The Tot-chos are a MUST-TRY and stop by for happy hour!

Food is excellent, but overpriced for the portion sizes.
Love the location at the river. We dined in for the first time recently, very unique interior. Service was great that day, which unfortunately is not always the case. So far the food has been good enough to come back though.

We’ve been here a few times and the menu is always different. We enjoy trying new things and always loved everything we picked and feel great after eating it. Came in very indecisive today, but after hearing the brunch special, we had to try it. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about vegan cheesy grits without shrimp since that’s how I usually eat them. They suggested the vegan lobster option (which I think was hearts of palm) and it was delicious and channeled a seafood vibe, the grits were delightfully creamy and cheesy. We also got the curry goat wrap (chickpea based). Although I was expecting a more savory curry, this was a bit on the sweet side, but it was still delightful in texture and flavor. My toddler thoroughly enjoyed the waffle and vbacon, as well as the mac and cheese and yams. Everything is homemade/made fresh order so I was glad we brought a book and an activity to do with the little one while we waited. Everything is worth the wait, but it can be hard to remember in a fast casual society that good food takes time to make and plate when you get used to how fast some places can be. Looking forward to the next time we have the opportunity to come back and try something else new and delicious.

This place ROCKS. Cashier (Miera, sp?) is the nicest person you’ll ever meet, ready to help you with any questions and excited to get you delicious vegan food! Is it healthy? Kinda. Is it amazing? YES. I got the chicken tacos and BLT. I’m told they make a vegan bacon grease. I’ve had many vegan BLTs and this one takes the cake. It’s my instant go-to restaurant, not to mention a really pretty view of the river and outdoor seating! You won’t regret it.

I traveled here from Maryland just to try this restaurant. I had the Vegan Cheesesteak & Mac n’ Cheese, 10/10 recommend! The food was delicious (couldn’t tell it was vegan) and the customer service was great; I can’t wait to visit again!

So I heard playa was a thing and my family and I went to check it out. The prices were a bit high but these bowls are filling and feel like a healthy alternative to a breakfast or lunch rather than a sweet treat. The base fruit smoothie was ice cold and it mixes good with the crunchy toppings. Lines went fast and service was good. My order was right the first time.

Love playa! Just not a very good location.. this is my bowl from today, literally half full. $12 for barely anything. I also paid a dollar for extra Nutella and there was barely any 🙁 also the staff always looks miserable. Wish I could take my tip back!

Very environment friendly! The second you walk in, it feels as if you are by the beach side. The other customers and workers are so friendly and understanding. I love Playa Bowls and I will definitely come again in the future.

Place was really good, there were too many to go orders , The noodles that I have ordered were very tasty. There very good serving options , If you are Vegetarian or Non- Vegeterian. You can use their custom menu to make your own mixing with protiens and veggies. They have I think 3 or 4 Kiosk desks for orders. Also,Staff were very friendly.

This place is a place that you have to order yourself on a POS (like a food market gas station). Then when you pay they want you to tip. The dinning area tables and floor was not clean. No one was walking around cleaning the dinning area. They had 10 people behind the counter and no one had any guidance. Seemed like there was no management around. After 20 minutes waiting I asked about our food as others that came in after us received their order. The girl behind the counter said oh her is your food, you must not have heard me call you. They never called my name or try to find us. As for the food it was just ok not worth the money. The noodles were gluey and all stuck together. The chicken had no flavor at all. I will give it another try down the road and leave / update my review.

Been here a few times and it’s a bit hit or miss. This trip the wait was very long, I think the combinations of online and in store had the place extremely backed up.
I couldn’t get any staff members attention to get my drink while I waited about 40 minutes for my food.
Got home and one order that was supposed to be chicken had shrimp and zero chicken and was missing most of the components from the build your own order. It was basically all rice and sauce. Overall pretty disappointing.

Honeygrow is normally pretty good so I decided to stop in before headed back down south. I tried the seasonal dish The Adrian after seeing pictured outside the store walking in. The dish is just ok. Pasta is sticky and it’s barely mozzarella cheese in it.
