This is really a beach rather than a park – if you love parks please check out Juanita Bay Park that’s right around the corner – it’s excellent.
This beach is really fun too and great to just hang around with the family. The half a mile wall that’s built over the water of the beach is great, has dedicated fishing spots and provides excellent views of the ducks in the water!
By Daniel Frisch (3 months ago)Busy beach with umbrellas put u for shade and 2 sand volleyball courts (rules posted ) Says no dogs in water but there’s semi secluded spots down the shore they can wade. I say wade cause it’s shallow. The wrap around walkway dock is original to this park and there’s a dock in middle where one can dive in and swim. Parking is adequate A Spuds fish n chips is across the street too, BONUS!By Ann Mari Gantenbein (5 months ago)Ive been taking advantage of the unusually nice weather. Especially being from the midwest when 79 can turn into 55 in a matter of hrs.Very exuberant, lively park. The boardwalk that circles over the water is amazing and a great idea.
Went on my lunch break and it was certainly peaceful.
By Stephen Lewis (3 months ago)Small park in Kirkland on the north end of Lake Washington. There is a nice walkway platform that extends out into the water and back. Big covered shelter, park benches, playground, restrooms and showers, plenty of parking onsite and across the street, coffee and food establishments nearby make this park very popular and busy especially on weekends.Plan your trip accordingly.
By Richie Magpayo (9 months ago)Pretty cool park definitely more towards dog walkers and parents with children. Got funny looks for being by myself but views are great and you can get a good walk in.By Anonymous (2 months ago)

If you’re looking for a beautiful spot to relax and take in some stunning views, Marina Beach Park is definitely worth a visit. It’s also great for fishing, and you can even see the boats docked in the distance. There are a couple of restaurants available if you get hungry, and the park area is perfect for a picnic or a game of volleyball in the sand.By Kevin Ao (7 months ago)My favorite place to walk. It’s beautiful. And feels like home. The best dog park in the world is here, on the beach looking at the Olympic mountain range. Not to shabby. I highly recommend for a picnic, a walk, or just chilling like a villain. Watching the sunset here is pretty spectacular as well.By Deb Pearson (7 months ago)This is not much of a park but a big pier with a small beach. The sunset view can be gorgeous if there are no clouds. On a weekday evening there was not much of a crowd. We had a quick visit as we were concerned about parking in the wrong spot.By Sankha S Hota (4 months ago)Stunning. Beautiful. Picturesque. All adjectives that come to mind when thinking about this park. If you are lucky enough to catch a sunny day, the views are gorgeous. I particularly love watching the ferries and cruise ships and they make their way across the sound.By Alex Titus (8 months ago)What an awesome place, beach shore, playground and walkway. Lots of people are their dogs, the sunsets are amazing. Watch the local ferries and boats drive by. Great place for a picnic and romantic walk.By Lorenzo R. C (4 months ago)

Nice little beach park, with BBQ spots, play structure and plenty of parking. Limited bathroom space so if it’s busy you might have to wait in line. Trains go by on schedule and are a bit noisy but it’s fun to watch them roll by. Gates close when it goes sun down, so be careful and don’t stay too late otherwise you’ll have to call 911 to get your car outBy kevin x (8 months ago)Beautiful beach park in the City of Shoreline. The park is huge, lot’s of parking lots, but car parking can be a pain during weekends and on sunny days. Easy trails available in the park. Clean, well maintained, beautiful beach park, and I was surprised at how clean this park was maintained. Because most of the beach parks in Seattle are messy, dirty and full of trash. But this one is beautiful 😍 totally worth the drive and great spot to spend time with family and friends 👌🏽 Views from the top parking lots are breathtaking 🤩 you can put chairs, get mat and enjoy the views 🥰.
#Seattle #BeachBy Avi NasH (8 months ago)Had a great time walking on the beach at low tide. Blue Heron flew by across the water, shells and sting ray on the shore. Kids had fun playing on the logs and forts people had made. Good parking and restrooms and playground up above.By Mike and Rexanne Glockling (7 months ago)Pleasant park, large parking lot. Train runs under the bridge which allows access to waterfront. Reservable picnic area with protection from weather, and BBQ stationsBy Joel Dazey (Joel) (11 months ago)Short paved walk along the shore with resident bald eagle nesting above and discover pass parking, although lately the gate has just been open. Too much private landowners to truly enjoy the place they cut off all the shore walking. Too bad rich people think others shouldn’t enjoy the beach too.By Kellie Miles (a year ago)

I love this place. You park up at the top of the bluff and hike down to the beach through a forested trail. You cross a small stream and go down stairs and finally under a railroad underpass to reach the beach. You feel like you earned the amazing view once you get there. I always take time to drink in the view. Then you begin your ascent back up to the top. It’s a little challenging, however I see kids and old folks going up the trail with no issue. There is a handicap parking lot if you need it.By Xochitl Castaneda (10 months ago)Great place for an evening hike down to the water for sunset views. They close the parking lot gate 20 min after sunset. If you can’t hike back up within 20 min I highly recommend you park (legally) outside of the gated parking lot area or your vehicle will be locked inside of the parking lot. It’s never happened to me but they have a lot of signs stating this will happen at various points on your hike. This is also a good place when it snows to go sledding due to the big hills. The hike is easy going down but coming back up it’s a climb for some as it’s straight back up with stairs at one point. Beautiful trail with ample amount of space for passing others. My family of 4 really enjoys this trail.By Gemsofthewild (11 months ago)This was a beautiful area to get out and hike a little bit. You can hear the birds talking with each other and have a few opportunities to see a river pushing through as well.
This is a pretty active and popular spot though, so if you prefer to hike alone this is not the spot for you.By Alice Miles (6 months ago)This walk is quiet and enjoyable. Be careful, it’s all uphill the whole way back but manageable. I saw all ages making it. Lots of benches along the way to stop and read or have a snack. Too bad the trail was closed due to construction, I didn’t get the whole way to the water.By Rose Gipp (5 months ago)Really good park. Good scenery and makes you feel like you are on an adventure because of the verticality of the terrain. This path also refuses to be muddy even after heavy rain which is great. The trees are monolithic like an ancient jungle. This trail used to lead under a railroad to a beach and an open grass field but is closed off for what has been like 2 years because of environmental protection construction work. I was lucky enough to witness the entire trail including the beach and it is awesome.
Many of the visitors come from the surrounding suburbs. A lot of old people come here, especially a lot of asian folk. I met a middle aged guy here who had the exact mannerisms of my Asian dad.
The verticality is intense. The trip back is about as hard as running a mile sometimes.

Very nice beach close to the Seattle downtown, we went in today with friends and families and enjoyed a lot. There are picnic tables where you can enjoy your food with the view of the beach, grills also available. Afternoon seems to be busy with not much parking, you can do parallel parking along the road, lot of place to play volleyball, you can easily spend minimum of 2 hours with families here. Rest rooms available, lot of restaurants near by as well.
Its a nice place to stoll around. While strolling around, you may find some very intense Beach volleyball going on. Food on the street side is really good(especially mexican). This is a place where you get to enjoy the mountain the beach together. Due to usual windy weather, you may stumble upon kites in the sky. Also gives a very good view of space Needle too.
The views are great, with distant ranges visible on a clear day along with the Space needle viewable at one corner. The place is surrounded by eateries and breweries, coffe and great smoothies for the non alcoholics there as well. A long pavement right on the coast line is available if you want to take your dog out for a walk. You might need a jacket if it gets too windy.
Beautiful area that is very mainstream in terms of people knowing about Alki Beach. However Alki Beach is one of those places you have to go if you live or visit Seattle. If you really want to go I recommend at night because the view of the skyline is spectacular!!
perfect for people watching, dog watching, and having a picnic. you can take the water taxi from downtown for $5.75 and takes about 15 mins to cross to Alki beach. There are tons of places to eat. And the walk down the beach is lovely
