  1. Pretty good food! Nothing like fried seafood and they have a great variety of it. We got the fried mushrooms and seafood dip for appetizers. For my entree I had the cod platter with oysters. There wasn’t a wait on the Saturday afternoon we went. Our server was super helpful and attentive. I’d definitely return the next time I’m in town visiting.

  2. Nice fish place in Anderson. Excellent service and good food. Oysters on the half shell were great. All the trimmings. Shrimp and grits with French garlic bread and coleslaw were yummy. Creaming milky grits were best I’ve ever had.

  3. Clean and nicely decorated seafood place.
Bathrooms were clean! Waitress was great! Now down to the food… seasonings were on point! Coleslaw was great, hushpuppies were seriously some of the best I’ve ever had, but what made me the happiest was the grits. Seriously the best I’ve had! (Which if you follow me, you know I enjoy lol) definitely WILL come again.

  4. Food is absolutely AMAZING!! I didn’t try the seafood as I don’t eat meat, but I brought a group of seniors here and they said it was good too. I had a house salad to start and it was so big that I actually was full from it. But I had ordered hush puppies and the fried green tomatoes with grits. It was so good, that I had planned to take it to go, but ended up eating most of it.
Also, I brought in 56 people, and they were quick and efficient!

Definitely will be eating here again when in Anderson!!

  5. Decent dining experience. Service was absolutely great. For the price I expected a little higher quality of food. Fish was overcooked and rubbery and the baked potato wasn’t even the size of my hand. For nearly $20 a plate that’s a little crazy.

I did get the clam chowder for $1 extra and it was good.

Back to try put the new menu. Started with the southern peach drink with shrimp and oysters. Ordered Mahi sandwich and crab & shrimp Alfredo. Always great good and service here.

Great service. I am very picky but the waiter was friendly and very helpful. We had food and drinks within a few minutes. Food was delicious. Blackened swordfish sandwich, fresh oysters and jumbo shrimp. We are adding this restaurant to our top 3 favorites.

My wife and I tried Shucks for the first time Friday evening. We choose to sit outside as the weather was great. Our wait person was John and he was fantastic. He made suggestions and had feedback on all the items on the menu we asked about. I got the tuna burger and the wife got the shrimp poor boy along with our dozen steamed oysters. The food was awesome and John was attentive and keep us hydrated when we were ready. This was a great dinner selection and we will be visiting Shucks on a regular basis. If you’ve never been to Shucks Oyster Bar, you need to. Ask for John for great service and menu knowledge. Oh, and if you like mac and cheese, get theirs, it is out of this world.

Really good food just don’t get the dollar oysters get what you pay for. Wife said the Margaritas were unbelievable. One year later Margaritas are still great. Low Country Boil is superb.
