  1. Great dinner experience! Went for dinner on a weeknight and the place was packed with 1 hour wait for a table. We went to the bar to order drinks and ended up having dinner there. Manny took great care of us. The seafood platter was enough to feed two. Great food, great service, great company. Highly recommended.

  2. The fondue appetizer is the best. We could have made a meal out of it. It is served with garlic bread. Cost is about 20.00 but well worth every penny. It will easily feed 2 -3 people. We also had the shrimp poboy, delicious! It was my sisters birthday so they gave her a free desert. She choose the cheesecake with strawberries. It was delicious.
Our waiter was Meme and she was the best. Such a sweet person and very attentative to our needs. Wonderful experience!

  3. This restaurant is always crowded regardless what time you go. Sat at bar for 30 minutes before table available. Marjaritas were awesome. Fried shrimp and snapper were very good. Portions were very large.

  4. Expect a crowd because Pappadeaux is always busy. The crowd comes for the Cajun and Creole flavors that Pappadeaux almost gets right. The seafood is the strong suit. Every piece of salmon, shrimp, and red smells great and tastes even better. The fried seafood is crunchy and not overly oiled. The gumbo and rice options are reminiscent of New Orleans, though maybe not exactly on point. You’ll have a great meal.

  5. Always such an incredible place to eat and drink. Everything on the menu is absolutely fantastic! You can’t go wrong here! Best food in town, hands down! Highly recommend the fondue!

Hands down best ambiance, service , and quality of food. Our server was extremely attentive and I love it!!!! Strawberry tea and Kentucky mule could not have been more crisp and refreshing, absolutely legend. The fried gator as an appetizer really set the stage for the lobster tail and everything our party ordered!!!! Will definitely be back again!!!!! 💪💪💪❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I was part of a wedding party (20) they have a policy where they don’t put tables together just FYI.
Don’t expect fast food, this is a slow enjoy-the-moment scenic restaurant.
Water and bread is served with yummy butter.
Appetizers if you choose comes out next
    And Entre is last.
You get a good portion for catfish and shrimp plate don’t expect a lot of seasoning. Also the spinach side dish is really good!

Service by the waitstaff is very 😊 good!!! They know the menu, how to make recommendations and the like.

I just recommend for large parties ,especially a wedding, keep the groom and bride sitting together with the tables.

I love their new crab cake recipe. The drinks I order are always good and strong. I only with they had a better selection of side dishes. Red beans and rice didn’t look good. I am cajun, so if you’re going to do it, do it right.

What a great experience! We waited about 35-40 minutes to get in on a New Years Day Saturday night which we thought was super fast! Our server Tristan was fast and attentive and when we did have a problem with one of our orders (and believe me we are not complainers) he took super good care of us and got the order corrected very quickly! Thank you for a great New Years Day dinner!

First time eating here last night. And we had the best time. All of our food and and bar made drinks were fresh and DELICIOUS. Our experience was even made better by our friendly and very funny waiter Aaron, who was very knowledgeable about the menu. He recommended his favorite dish the Mahi Alexander and it did not disappoint! I personally Recommend the “Rosé all day Sangria”. Thank you Aaron We will definitely be coming back for another meal and requesting you.

DELICIOUS! I’m pretty picky when it comes to seafood boils. You have to get many things correct in order for it to be yummy, and Smashin’ Crab has it down.

We got the combo with 3 lbs of crab legs, 1 lbs of shrimp, with potatoes and corn seasoned with the Trinity flavor. A margarita flight came with the combo at no extra charge.

Everything was cooked to perfection. The crab legs cracked perfectly and the meat was not adhering to the inside of the shell. The head-on shrimp were easy to peel and plump in size. The red potatoes and corn soaked up the Trinity seasoning flavor and were tender.

It was nice to sip on the different margarita flavors: original, mango, prickly pear, and strawberry. The mango and strawberry were my favorite. They had a refreshing fruit taste with the kick of tequila. It’s always a good thing when you can taste the tequila!

Overall, our experience was great because of our waitress. She guided us through the menu, provided us the prices to build our own boil, and was attentive and available to answer any questions we had.

I definitely will eat here again. If you love seafood and Cajun seasoning, this is the place to eat at!

Delicious food. Prices are a little steep but the portions are reasonable. If you like Razoos, this has a similar atmosphere and food quality. Our wait time for the food to be delivered was excessive and, although it was pretty busy, it seemed to be just our table experiencing this difficulty. All in all, I’d consider going back but not anytime soon.

I’ve been looking for a GOOD seafood restaurant like this, and a friend told me about it and I wasn’t disappointed. Never heard of the place before I went Sunday and it was awesome. Prices weren’t ridiculous for what I got either. Best kept secret I’ve found in a long time. Allyson was the sweetest server too. I can’t wait to go back. Only small issue was my clams and mussels weren’t steamed quite enough as several weren’t open.

Staff was incredibly attentive. Kudos to Phoenix, our server. Appetizers came out quickly, and drinks were always topped off. The Magnolia boil was perfect and butter was flowing. Shrimp were huge and amazing. Very happy Traveler!

Crab and smash it, oh yeah, such a nice feeling for crab lovers. This place is traditional, laidback and electric. Nice place to have friends and families together for lunch or dinner, birthday, graduation or anniversary. I enjoyed my bowl of alligator while my friends dealt with every piece of the crab. Although a bit loud inside but the warmth and liveliness it brings is one I can’t trade.

Take a look at the menu and find something you like, you will definitely love it. You’re wondering why they didn’t get a 5-star, 😂 tables weren’t spaced out from each other.

I visit Sea Islands often, but this visit everything was especially good! I was really pleased with the Mexican shrimp cocktail: chopped up chunks of shrimp, octopus, avocado, onion, and cilantro and my favorite – WITH CHIPS! Definitely prefer over crackers! And the lemon pepper fish was definitely on point! Hot and crispy with its light coating..it was perfect! Everything felt like a great value. And big props to the gentleman tending the side room. Always super friendly and helpful! Will definitely be back 👍

Wonderful selection of seafood and sides. Staff was helpful and friendly. Place was clean. Food came out prompt and hot. Flavors were delicious and portions were big. Had to get a to go box. This was my first time and will be back for more. 👍

Service was pretty good & the food was alright… we hardly got any chips with the Mexican Shrimp Cocktail.
Margarita wasn’t very good – way too sweet. The green beans & the hush puppies were tasty.
We’ll probably try a different location if we go back to Sea Island Shrimp House.

My husband and I really enjoyed our lunch here. Our absolute favorite was the stuffed shrimp. The fish was great and was my second favorite. They make the margaritas with wine so I skipped that but my husband enjoyed the frozen one.

This place is good! My salmon was grilled to perfection as well as the shrimp. The buttered spinach was really good. You get a lot of food for a great price. Service is fast and friendly.

I had my birthday dinner here and the food did not disappoint. The service was amazing and every person on staff was pleasant. The young lady that was the host at the front door on Sunday evening was an absolute doll. She had great energy. Every single thing I ate was delicious… the charbroiled oysters, crab cakes and cinnamon bread pudding. Can’t wait to come back here again for dinner.

Very good food and service here. Great area, right on the River walk. Food was hot, and tasted very good, and server was attentive. I’m not giving 5 stars for a few reasons and I’ll explain, as they may not be issues to you, but for a reviewer, I feel I should point out. The kitchen was quite loud, with both music, and loud voices, and often cussing. I did finally hear a manager tell them to tone it down, but she said it in such a way, that she was as loud as they were and you heard everything she hollered at them. And, it never really toned down after than anyhow. For such a nice place, just seemed odd. There was also a guy cleaning the floors, that was on his cell phone (with a headset) on a personal call that I never heard end. As he moves around, it just looks like he’s talking to himself a lot, but he has earbuds in and is actually on a personal call the whole time. Many seemingly managers walked by him during this and didn’t say anything, as if it was condoned. Another weird experience for me, in a nice place like this. So, my service was good and my food was good, but the surrounding audible atmosphere felt more like I was in a Burger King, and for being one of the higher priced places to eat on the River walk, I guess I expected a bit more. I’m from out of town, so I’ve only been here the once, and this could be an odd thing to see here, so your experience may not be the same, but I think it’s fair to share all details I encountered. I’d be willing to try it again when I’m back that way, as my food and service was good. I’d just hope the atmosphere would match the decor and pricing.

We were so delighted to find that they have a beautiful bar upstairs (if you enter from the Riverwalk side) or enter right into the bar from street level. It was our last night in San Antonio and we were looking for something chill…we were also excited to see the TN/AL game was on…but not loud. There was also an awesome 3 person band playing in the background. The atmosphere is so relaxed! The menu is the same as downstairs. Face it…after several meals on river dining…you’re sick of seeing the river. Head upstairs for their bar service, they were primo! This was, by far, the best dinner we had on our trip.
Some reviewers complain about cost and portions…I don’t know why…you get what you pay for and this was worth it! 5 cocktails, 3 appetizers and tip for $150…that’s not bad for delicious food and drinks and amazing service.
Hope you have as great an experience as we did!

Lobster bisque and crab cake appetizer were very good. Asparagus was still a little to raw for my liking. Salmon and shrimp enbrochette were good. Waitress was decent but spilled multiple things on our table. Not sure what that was about.

The 20oz Ribeye was amazing, although the 2 shrimp, 2 scallops, and half an ounce of crab meat, don’t qualify for “topped with” in my books, especially given the price tag.

The service was great, all the other dishes were very tasty, definitely worth visiting at least once.
