Visiting Panama City from Atlanta and this place is one of the few that stays open past 9 P.M. Not sure if it is a result of the pandemic, but we were hard pressed to even find a pizza spot open after 9 – we didn’t. Stopped in at this place and was seated immediately. The waitress was friendly and our order was taken quickly. They had specialty drinks on the menu and a full bar. I had Jack and Coke that was just right. My fiance had Texas Margarita he enjoyed. We ordered Oyster Rockefeller and Shrimp, Lobster Grits. Our food came out quickly even though there was a crowd. This place has a neighborhood feel and a live band was playing. Anyways, the grits were good and the oysters were amazing. It was just what we needed before heading back to the hotel for the night. I would definitely eat here again.

Dat Cajun Place was a new addition to our list of places to eat and come back to! I will say the chicken from here is unbelievable! Maybe the best I have ever eaten and it doesn’t matter what kind of chicken you get just get it. If it’s on the menu then it’s great and I don’t come to the beach for chicken. The fried chicken may have a slight edge over all the other chicken but you can’t go wrong regardless! Thanks to Dat Cajun Place for a wonderful family meal!!!!

Yum! This was a great place to stop for lunch.we sat outside on the porch and ordered a variety of things, which all had great flavor. The alligator bites were the best we’ve had, tasty and juicy, instead of most places where they’re chewy. The cajun chicken pasta was delicious and had a great kick. I’d recommend trying their Rangoon appetizer as it’s a great mixture of spicy and sweet with their strawberry dip.

Dat was good stuff! What a nice place for dinner reasonable and delicious! Great service, delicious food and such great prices. Nice size everything and did I mention the great prices. Be prepared to Wait over an hour at anytime!

Had a great meal. Food was great and the service was friendly. It was very busy and we had to wait for a table which was not a problem. We would have liked to sit near enough to watch the performers but the only table available for us was on the side near the bar. A bit disappointing but still a great meal.

It was OK. Very overpriced, very. There was maybe 5 broiled shrimp on each plate it was tough. Got half of a lobster tail it was also tough. 2 pieces of white fish an scallions with a baked potato X2 plates. Total bill $140.00. Nice place.. Excellent service but food wasn’t all that.. This was my Anniversary dinner so kind of disappointed.

We were seriously disappointed by the quality of the food here, especially for the cost. It is such a great looking restaurant. Our server was amazing (particularly given how busy this place is). But you go to a restaurant for the food and you go to a seafood restaurant on the gulf expecting great seafood, yet the food was pretty bland and too expensive for the food you end up getting. My son’s ordered steaks, questionable at a seafood restaurant, and they were tough and expensive, again, without much flavor. All told we spent nearly 300 dollars (there were five of us) and I wished we would have just gone out for some fast food or some barbecue. You live and learn. Maybe we just paid for the experience? If so, it’s a pretty expensive place to sit for an hour and look at the marina.

Outstanding waiter!! Absolutely amazing food! Melt in your mouth steaks & seafood perfectly grilled!! The restaurant is huge with a beautiful rustic interior design which displays maritime antiquities from bygone eras. My family & I rank our experience this evening with a perfect 10 & have checked off Incredible Food Experience from our bucket List!!

Best seafood in PCB! We arrived around 4pm and walked around in the gift shop. About this time, people were lining up for the opening at 4:30. At exactly 4:30 the doors open and we were seated immediately. We were greeted by our server, who was very kind and gave us information on what to order since this was our first time. Five minutes after ordering our drinks, we received a basket of bread which was fresh and soft. A few minutes later, we got our salads. The dressing and tomato’s were absolutely wonderful. Maybe 5-10 minutes later, we got our food along with hush puppies. The stuffed shrimp was so delicious and was very filling. The butterfly shrimp which is split in half and stuffed with a crab cake filling was so fresh and cooked perfect. My fiancé who ordered the platter said the Florida lobster was his favorite, along with the soft and flavorful crab cakes. The scallops were cooked perfectly with the shrimp. Our sides which were french fries, and mashed potato’s were even cooked as if they were home made. The sauces that came with our food were our favorite we’ve ever had. We enjoyed everything on our plate and will definitely be back. They also have a cute gift store right next to them with a lady that sells adorable sterling silver jewelry along with other items in the gift shops that are very unique.

The food is amazing. Went both times while at the beach this summer and ate there each time we go. I will always eat there when I visit for sure!! Can’t say ANYTHING bad about the food, service or wait!!! The only thing we do is try to make sure we are there by 4:45 pm to get a seat right away. It’s a huge place and has so much seating available. It’s well worth every penny we spend, if the food is that good I don’t mind paying 50 for a plate. BEST SEAFOOD I have ever had!!!

I should preface this review with the fact that I have never had any oysters of any kind, ever.

I was able to enjoy the cheese covered oysters first. These are cooked and there was nothing terribly fishy or weird about the texture to these. For someone who again has never seen an oyster I have to comment and say, I had no idea they were as big as they are! But that’s the unique part of here. Hunt’s oyster bar has generously sized oysters and seafood which makes this restaurant an excellent place to come and eat. Wait times can be upwards of an hour or more unless you’re there first thing, but it is very much worth the wait.

The fried shrimp was very tasty. The fries are seasoned well and the baby potatoes were another great choice to choose as a side.

I finished off with key lime pie and was very satisfied with the entirety of my meal!

The two hush puppies I had were the only things that could have been seasoned better.

Overall 5 stars! Would love to come back if I’m ever in the area!

Arrived at about 530pm and waited about 45 minutes to be seated. As other reviews stated, small place. Enjoyed a cold beverage from the bar outside while we waited.

We ordered an app of the Smoked Tuna Dip, it was absolutely not what we thought it was, but it was AWESOME….

My wife ordered the Buffalo Shrimp Tacos with fries and okra…. They were loaded with shrimp and slaw, I helped with fries and okra, still didn’t finish. She said they were the best for the week. I had Jalapeño Baked Oysters. They were really good, however there were few that were very small… Beer was cold and reasonable, sweet Tea was sweet and good! Service was great considering how busy they were.

My only complaint is there are people walking around with no smiles waiting for you to finish, to rush you out. One gentleman picked up my platter before I was finished eating. He quickly realized he screwed up an placed it back down. No apology, nothing… Stay out of your customers space unless they tell you that you can have their plate. This really made us feel uncomfortable. This took a star from you. Would’ve been 5 stars.

Overall, the food was excellent and I would recommend! Get the Tuna Dip! Don’t rush folks!

The vibe of this restaurant was so awesome! The staff was so welcoming and friendly, and it was a treat to see them enjoying their work and embrace a strong camaraderie.

The presentation of the crab claws appetizer was unique and very flavorful… probably my favorite dish that I ordered.

Also, this was my first dining experience where I had oysters shucked right in front of me… an experience I dining at the bar. It was awesome!

Hunt’s rocks! A local’s favorite place and certainly no tourist trap. A simple eatery that excels with fun and fast service that offers delicious food.

We sat at the bar and were served and entertained by the Shucking Team. Our appetizers of oysters on the half shell were shucked and served in no time: they were clean and salty- yum! Our entree came quick – fried grouper/oyster plate. It was hot and delicious!

Tip of the day: arrive 30 minutes prior to opening. They do not take reservations but arriving early should get you a seat.

Locals recommended we try this small seafood 🦞 spot in historic St Andrew’s area of Panama City Beach. We went for lunch. The wait was short. The seafood 🦞 was fresh & delicious. Oyster 🦪 & Flounder were our choices for lunch. Corn 🌽 on cob, fries, fresh coleslaw, & fresh made hush puppies. Their southern ice tea was perfect. So many seafood choices on the menu. Desserts looked amazing but we were too full to try. We will be back another trip. Enjoy!!

Food was delicious as was the view. Steak was perfectly cooked, lobster tail was excellent, and my wife enjoyed her softshell crabs. My drink was very good however her drink could’ve had a little more strawberry flavor (daiquiri). Not significant enough to change the rating on this outstanding restaurant. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly and the manager kept a watchful eye on the floor and checked on the guests. Stay away from the tourist traps and find the local spots! You won’t be disappointed. Thank you Uncle Ernie’s!

Stopped in for lunch. The food was really good, but a bit pricey considering some of the portion sizes, would have been 5 stars otherwise. The restraunt is truly beautiful, loved the decor. The sweet chili sauce on the fish tacos was so sweet and zingy, simply yummy. Crab cakes were also well above par. I would absolutely recommend this for a nice date night knowing it is a bit expensive and plan to order an app and main if you come hungry.

Literally the best seafood you can get on PCB. Be sure to order soup AND a salad, both are perfect. Soup changes daily, but I’d recommend getting salad with house dressing. Best salad ever. Be sure to get specials, or anything fresh. Grouper is my favorite. Yum

Uncle Eries was great. The food tasted awesome. I got the Scallop & Shrimp Imperial Dinner with a side of grits. The shrimp was decent, crab was good, and the scallops were awesome. The ahi tuna is really good, and the soup was some of the best I‘ve ever had.

The outdoor seating was a great place to enjoy nice weather, its right on the water. There is an outdoor patio bar on the second floor.

Enjoyed lunch with family today at Uncle Ernie’s. From the moment we arrived until we left, Susan took great care of us. Some had fried shrimp—I had the shrimp and grits with sausage. We dined outside right next to the water. Food was GREAT—thanks so much for a great meal and such a nice time! Liked it so much, we returned the next day with other family members. Jennifer took care of us, just like Susan the day before. Calamari, crab claws, fried shrimp, and coconut shrimp all exceeded expectations. What a great place with a super view from the first or second level, right on the water👍

A nice evening at The Grand Marlin. Alyssa was our waitperson, and was warm and hospitable. As a starter, we enjoyed a warm rich bowl of she crab soup with chive oil and seafood and sausage gumbo. It was terrific. I had the chef’s special of Hangar Steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans while my wife enjoyed Crab Cakes with the same two sides. We were birth satisfied and pleased with our choices. We finished off with a generous slice of key lime pie for the grand finale. We were here two years ago and we found that the restaurant did not let us down. We will be back again!

We went for dinner and we were seated outside on their second floor. It was quite warm but luckily once the sun set the temperature went down. Ordered two lovely cocktails. The shrimp
Cocktail was good but pricey for 5 pieces of shrimp. We ordered the swordfish and lobster. After ordering we were told the lobster was out which was disappointing so instead I ordered a crab cake and hush puppies. The food was good but not spectacular. I was a bit disappointed but nonetheless I was happy we tried it. Not sure if we’ll go back.

My husband and I ate here for our 15-year wedding anniversary, and what a great way to celebrate! We did have a reservation so we got in pretty quickly, and everything was on point. The food and drinks were delicious, and our server, Misty, took great care of us. She was friendly and fun, and was very purposeful in the way that she submitted our order – she timed it perfectly so that everything arrived in the right order and was appropriately spaced out. Plus, the atmosphere is absolutely intoxicating (upscale beachy elegance). Highly recommend if you are visiting PC (or if you live here and have never been)!

( I forget his name) super nice!!!! The food from the appetizers to Dessert was delicious!!! our waiter even paid for them for our anniversary. The view was perfect. We will definitely be back.

We had a lovely experience dining at the Grand Marlin. Our server, Esther, couldn’t have been more attentive and friendly. We ordered the hushpuppies with cinnamon butter as an appetizer. I highly recommend them. I ordered the crab cakes, which were so full of crab I have no idea how they held them together. They were perfect. They were served with mashed potatoes and green beans. The beans were a bit too crisp for me, but that’s just personal preference. My husband got the the fried shrimp which he said were fresh and breaded perfectly. Thursday is 1/2 price on bottles of wine. You can’t beat that. There is a wide range of wines with a wide range of $$ to choose from. My dessert was complimentary as our dinner was for my birthday celebration. It was a praline shell filled with ice cream and fresh berries, then drizzled with caramel and chocolate sauces! Such a delightful and delicious way to enter a lovely meal. Additionally, you can make a reservation, which is always a plus – no waiting an hour or more to be seated! We will certainly go back.
