Great lobster place in bar harbor. We stopped for lunch after the scenic cruise. You get a 10% discount if you took the cruise. The food was good. I got the lobster roll with sweet potato fries. It was good. The service was quick. They have both indoor and outdoor seating with the view of the harbor.By kuldeep kumar (4 months ago)Right on the water with pier seating. The fish and chips I had (haddock)were VERY fresh- that was the best thing about the meal. The fish was decently seasoned, crispy, and juicy as well as a nice size. The fries were warm and crispy and a good cut. The side of coleslaw and the tartar sauce were just ok, absolutely nothing special.
I had a cup of lobster bisque soup as an appetizer. It had a lovely texture, but seemed under-seasoned.
I rounded out my meal with one of their signature mixed beverages that was very tasty.
The service was excellent.
The cost for the drink, bisque, fish and chips, and the tip came to $75 for one person. I feel a bit pricey for the food eaten.By Bonnie Heller (5 months ago)Stewman’s Lobster Pound is a must try restaurant when visiting the Bar Harbor area! The food was delicious and the oysters so fresh. We didn’t try the lobster trap options but they did look amazing from neighboring tables, and our lobster roll had chunks of meaty lobster. Market price when we visited was about $35 per lobster roll. They also have outdoor seating as well as an indoor patio area that is dog friendly, the waiter even brought our dog a water bowl.By Tiffany Tran (7 months ago)After our tours with lobster fishing and seal watching got late lunch early dinner at stewman’s.
Our entire order was strawberry virgin daiquiri, blueberry soda, 2 glass of beer (don’t remember) from draft, Stewman’s burger, Mount desert crab roll, Cajun shrimp roll and total was less $100 we got 10% off from the tours we went, can’t complaints about the prices here typical Bar Harbor tourist situation I believe.
All was good, sitting by the deck on high tops enjoy the view. At the beginning our waiter was Josue then not sure what happen changed to Jake both were good.By Lizzay B (6 months ago)My friends and I only wanted to eat out for one night during our weekend stay here in Bar Harbor and I believe we chose the right place to eat! My one friend really wanted to try the lobster rolls and not too bad for market price. We expected dinner to be pricey of course, but it was well worth the price. I myself had the Cobb salad and it was a great blend of delicious flavors. Also, for everyone to know, if you do a whale watching/nature cruise from Bar Harbor Whale Watch right next door, they offer a discount for dinner if you show Stewman’s your tickets. Took about $20 off of our total so that little bit helps!By General Unitato (6 months ago)

Stopped in for lunch while on a cruise.
The menu appears to have a nice offering of different items. The restaurant is large and fairly roomy. We got a hamburger, lobster/crab dip, and the corned beef sandwich. Overall, the food was pretty good, but not quite to 5-star level.
The rye bread was burned a bit on my corned beef sandwich, and there was a lot of seasoning on the lobster/crab dip. So much seasoning it could almost be imitation crab and the seasoning could mask the taste. It wasn’t imitation crab, just saying there was A LOT of seasoning on it. The burger had good flavor, but the bun got soggy fast. So much so, the burger couldn’t be finished.
Service was marginal. We were sat fairly quickly, able to order reasonably fast, but waited probably 20-25 min for food. Once the food came, drinks were topped off once, and we never saw our server after that. We had to flag someone down to get our check.
Generally speaking, when we’ve had our plates cleared and the server sees a nearly untouched entree (lobster/crab dip), they ask of something was wrong. No observations here. They just cleared the plates and brought the check.
In summary I don’t regret eating here, but it wasn’t good enough to earn all of my business every time. There are a lot of other restaurants withing walking distance. I’d def try one of them next time.
By Dan (3 months ago)Beautiful restaurant, quick and personable service and really tasty food and drinks. I really enjoyed the Jameson Jewel drink, it packed a nice whisky punch with a sweet fruity balance. The Caesar salad with lobster and the lobster bisque were phenomenal. I’d eat the lobster bisque everyday if I could! The lazy man lobsters dinner was 5 stars also! Really a great place that left a lasting impression. I live far out of state but if I were near by, I’d be here all the time!By Amy o (2 months ago)On one of the days of our New England tour, we stopped here, right after a boat ride and before heading to New Hampshire. We wanted a light meal and we couldn’t have made a better choice. We started with a great cheese platter with nuts and berries, then some lobster bisques and an amazing blueberry pie to finalize. Everything was great!! The service was very good and the waiter also recommended some of our choices.By Rui Cabral (6 months ago)The food was very good. I had the pub burger with truffle fries. The burger was above average but not quite good enough to earn 5 stars. The truffle fries were exceptionally good. The service was excellent! We really enjoyed the setting, looking out over the harbor. 4.5 stars.
By Glenn White (4 months ago)My wife and I had a quick minute for breakfast so we stopped by and were not disappointed! The lobster Benedict stole the show, but is that a surprise to anyone!?! We enjoyed this amazing breakfast before going out for the day and only wished we had time to come back for lunch or dinner to try some of the things on those menus!By Jacob Stackhouse (5 months ago)

Absolutely the best food I’ve had in a long time. Delicious, simple ingredients and the best tasting lobster you’ll ever eat. Quick service, food was hot and freshly done.
The giant pink steamed lobster 🦞 looked delicious and saw a few people ordering them and simply digging and eating! 😂
The clam chowder, wasn’t bad but mot as impressive, needless to say it was good, just not as delicious as the lobster bisque, not to mention the big chunks of lobster meat and claws within the bisque! Recommend this place!
NEED to check it out if visiting the area!!! 😋😋😋
By Kayra Wharton (5 months ago)Awesome hot lobster roll!! Don’t be put off by the line if there is one because it’s well worth the wait. You won’t be disappointed.
Also (Paul’s wife here) – Recommend the mini roll and some coleslaw for a smaller/healthier meal. My first lobster roll – EXCELLENT!By Paul Schoberg (4 months ago)Excellent Lobster Rolls!! I had the sampler platter that had all three types of Lobster Rolls. My husband had the full hot lobster roll with butter. All were delicious!! We also enjoyed the clam chowder. We wished we could have gone back another day after hiking but they closed for the season while we were visiting. Blueberry Soda was good too! All outdoor dining on picnic tables. All were clean. So happy we got to try out this place! It had high ratings and I can certainly see why. Amazing food!!By April Jasinski (2 months ago)Ordered the lobster Mac and cheese, large hot lobster roll, lobster bisque and the blueberry pie and they were ALL on point. Very hearty and tasty meal that really fulfilled our lobster cravings. Enjoyed outdoor seating and 5% off cash payments. Would highly recommend!!By Ladin Akkaymak (3 months ago)5 stars on lobster. We got large lobster rolls, and they really were packed and massive! Huge claw meat on top, and oozing butter just the way I like it! Crab dip was also tasty and quality steamers.
3 stars on setting if you dine there as eating lobster on the side of a busy main road with huge trucks barreling past is less fun. But I appreciate this is a locally owned and a popular spot for great seafood!By Julia G (6 months ago)

Lovely environment with some really cool, traditional objects and furniture. Very relaxed. Service was good and the staff were friendly. The Veggie Burger was amazing, best I’ve tasted on my trip to Maine so far! The only thing that let the place down was the chips (UK) fries (US)… Around half of them were too overcooked and cracked/shattered into little pieces when I tried to pick them up with my fork.
So, overall I’d definitely go back as it’s a lovely place and, going on the burger alone – very good food! 🍔By Darren MacRae (9 months ago)Highly recommended! Best Fish and Chips as per our tour guide and she is right, crispy lightly battered halibut (and not greasy). Lobster Roll is excellent, good sized chunks with flavorful aioli… this is a must! The decor is interesting and friendly staff.By Tessa deV (3 months ago)Stopped in for a quick lunch, we split the fried chicken sandwich and reuben, both were very good, the sides of fries were too. Also had a few pints from their excellent tap list and enjoyed the friendly service. Loved the warm Irish Pub feel!By Ron D (5 months ago)We like this place. There isn’t much seating, but the servers are good and there is seating outside. I like the flavor of their lobster roll because of the lemon zest in their recipe. My husband has ordered several items off of their menu and he’s always enjoyed them. Their bathroom is two levels below their entrance which makes it difficult if you have any mobility issues. Our server for this visit was Nicholas and he was hustling so we were impressed. Also the host was quick to help get guests seated when availability became open. Their Guiness is properly poured as expected and I enjoy the Magners. Every year we come back to this restaurant.By Widgie Carson (2 months ago)One of several places open during winter, Leary’s served my family excellent fish and chips, shepherd’s pie, blackened haddock sandwich and a burger. Fast, friendly service, and not too expensive. We had a great meal and a great time.
Loved it so much we came back the next night. They had a special lamb shank on parmasean mashed potatoes with a pomegranate remoulade. It was amazing. Kids so loved my fish and chips from the night before, they both ordered it. Wife got blackened haddock tacos. Such a wonderful restaurant.By Edwin Acevedo (a year ago)

I wasn’t intending on reviewing this place, but as soon as I dug into this lamb I just knew I had to. My wife had made reservations ahead of time as we were celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary. I figured I would indulge myself and get the lamb chops. This lamb was so delicate and tasty. Whatever they were crusted in was delightful. I didn’t grab a picture before i started eating, but once I realized I wanted to review the place I gathered what was left. This was enough to get a 5 star review from me. Then desert came we opted for the Tres Leches. The staff was so nice to use since the moment we walked in congratulating us. Then they wrote this in chocolate on our desert. Really superb. I will hands down visit this place whenever I am back in town.By Mike Feole (7 months ago)I live in Miami most of the year so when my wife told me we were going to a Cuban restaurant in Bar Harbor, Maine I honestly thought she was joking. But my wife doesn’t kid around…not when it comes to food. Havana is the nicest, finest restaurant in this lovely harbor town. The paella and farm salad are to die for. Really.By brian perkins (4 months ago)Everything was incredible, from food to the service and atmosphere. We came for our anniversary and the host made sure to congratulate us, there was a card on the table, and they brought us a complimentary truffle/fruit dessert. Service was great, lamb chops and lobster moqueca were amazing, wine was fantastic. We couldn’t stop staring at the paella at other tables. Don’t second guess, just go!By Morgan Vargas (7 months ago)We were sat in the wine cellar room which was really cozy! We had exceptional service, and it was such a warm environment. We received this restaurant as a personal recommendation, and it did not disappoint. While pricey, it was so delicious and with heavy servings. Food was super high quality. The lobster paella and lobster moqueca were fabulous as were the oysters! We even had leftovers to take home. Would love to return again!By Marketa Novakova (4 months ago)The food is top notch. Can’t go wrong. Parking tough of course. Probably will get seated 14-30 mins after your reservation, have to be patient. No reservations side of restaurant available with full bar. A little pricey but it’s a resort town.By Jen Krause (2 months ago)
