Very lovely buffet. I have come back over and over. The staff is so friendly, I have always had a plesent time. They are very attentive to their guests and to the buffet, food is always being refilled. And there is a decent amount to choose from.By Brandy Wescott (8 months ago)Very unsatisfied!!!! Food was old sitting in steamers. Workers are very up tight. Rushing you to get food and eat and go. I have been to over 1000 places and this has been a very bad experience. UNFORTUNATELY I DON’T BELIEVE THIS REVIEW WILL BE HANDLED PROFESSIONALLY AND I HOPE OTHERS THAT GO TO LOTUS WILL REMEMBER THIS.
Definitely not Normal to eat and feel sick everytime we have eaten their. Party of 8 out of the 8. 8 of them we’re sick and disappointed
Cost was ridiculous. RECOMMEND if hungry or trying new food go someplace else or eat at home and prepare it your self. I hope this helps someone…..
By Matthew Miller (5 months ago)Meal was not as good as it use to be. Most of it was just like warm and anything with the chicken was over cooked. The beef tips with onions and peppers I found hair in it, not mine, it was black and I’m gray. Don’t think I’ll be back any time soon.By Debbie Prout (a month ago)I don’t believe I could ever run out of wonderful things to say about this place. I was brought here for the first time a few years ago and I have loved it ever since. Birthdays, holidays, random days, it’s always a good day to visit Lotus. The food has always been wonderful and the workers are top notch in a way I’ve never seen anywhere else. The atmosphere is incredibly friendly, the food is always well done and well stocked, and they’re very diligent on keeping both the buffet and the dining area clean and neat as well as being attentive to the diner’s needs, even on busy days when they may be much more stretched thin. Only amazing things to say about Lotus.By Jess Sobey (2 weeks ago)We went on a Saturday in the afternoon and the place was packed. They showed my daughter and I to our to table and before we could even sit down or my mother joined us at the table our drink order was being requested. When my mother joined us a free minutes later she had to ask someone for a drink. At the buffet tables, a lot of the food was gone and what was still there was cold; and not all of the dishes were marked so you had to just guess what it was. By the second trip up there the food that was previously give had been replenished but it was done so with bland overcooked cold food as well. The waiter never asked how everything was or if we needed anything. He cleared our first plates from the table while placing our bill on the table. My daughter went up to get more food and came back saying she had to use the restroom. So as she did that I went up to pay the bill and when we both sat back down at our table, all of our stuff (drinks, silverware, napkins and my daughter plate of food she just got) had been cleared from the table and our table had been wiped down. We sat back down at our table and all he said was “oh, I thought you were leaving”. I told him no, we weren’t done and that my daughter had just gotten the plate he picked up. At this point we felt rushed and like we could leave now that they had gotten their money. Which by the way, was ridiculous, especially for a child and the quality of food on this visit. My daughter was still hungry but given that he cleared our table and kind of made us feel unwelcome at that table now, she opted to leave instead of going to get another plate of food. She was here the night prior and said that the food was so much better and the waiters were nicer and didn’t pretty much kick you out. So maybe we just hit it at the wrong time being that it was busy and such, so perhaps they weren’t capable to handle the volume of people and food and that’s why some of the dishes were empty, overcooked and it was cold? Other than the rude waiter, the environment was nice and kosher, not overcrowded or loud and it was clean. Given that my kid says the food was so much better the night before, I would go there again just to see if by the off chance we just went at the wrong time. But if the food is still the same, I will not be going back a third time. So look for another review of this place somewhere here in the near futureBy Danielle Schmidt (2 months ago)

Wow…this is an awesome local place that serves amazing local fresh seafood and mouth watering, fall off the bone ribs with crazy good BBQ sauce. And of course local brews on tap.
The haddock was unbelievably delicious…and the ribs were some of the best I have ever had.
Huge fan…can’t wait to come back and try more dishes.
By Thawn Lowing (a year ago)Best bacon cheeseburger I’ve ever had! My boyfriend had the mac and cheese and said it was delicious as well. The waitress was amazing! Extremely friendly and attentive. The restroom was clean and had easy access. But if you’re not careful you could end up in the way of the wait staff coming out of the kitchen with food. Otherwise, I highly recommend eating at this restaurant.By Adrienne Randall (Desrochers) (3 months ago)Met my granddaughter and her fiance for dinner before she has my great grandson this week and had a wonderful time. They took excellent care of us and the food was good. Very pleasant visit.By Jim McMichael (4 months ago)Food was amazing, portions were big and well worth the money. Prices were great. Service could not have been better, atmosphere is great. Highly recommend Mac’s GrillBy Roy Longhitano (6 months ago)I get the ribs and chili and put it together as bowl. So fire. I wish I could get pulled pork as a side because that would make it over the top. But it’s freaking amazing!!! St. Louis ribs, chili -must of won awards it’s crazy good. Not fatty St. Louis ribs. Perfect spice. It’s great! 10/10! Best part is I live two minutes away 🙂 locals do love it!!! ❤️By Vanessa (4 months ago)

Today’s experience was great! Last time, not so much. But I’m updating to 5 because I feel it was redeemed. Our server was amazing. So kind and very fast. Our food came faster than ever and we actually enjoyed every part of it so much. Last time we ended up leaving more than half our food on the table when we left because it was that bad but not this time! We had the burgers and loaded potato soup as well as the Strawberry Shortcake and wow we are so impressed. I’m so happy we gave this restaurant another try. It seems like they have resolved the issues we previously had and doing amazing.By Jessa (10 months ago)Food was ok. It appeared as though there was only 1 server. 2 host. Someone who was counting sugar packets? Food came out while still eating appetizers. Never cleared the table until it was time to collect the check. Meh at best. Waitress did not wear a mask.By Ladi Dre (a year ago)We’ve had good experiences elsewhere, but not here. Stopped in for lunch and it was not busy at all. Getting seated and a drink order took too long. No bottle wine and only 2 options for house red. Bartender was on lunch break so we had to wait. Had to return knives 3 times due to lack of cleanliness. Salads took exceptionally long time to arrive. Steak was bland and had too few mushrooms with it. We won’t return.By Charles Lafferty (4 months ago)We were seated quickly by a friendly hostess. Our server greeted us and explained that there was a shortage of a few menu items. They were also out of bread.
We ordered rib eyes, cooked medium. The steaks tasted good, but were not cooked medium. They were medium rare. At nearly $24/steak, I expected them to be cooked correctly. My mac n cheese was lukewarm. The house salad was fine. My husband’s baked potato was also fine.
These places are expensive to visit, especially with everything costing way more than it did a couple of years ago. It’s a treat to get to go out to eat at a place like Longhorn Steakhouse. I just wish the quality of food reflected the bill that we received afterward.
Service outside of the kitchen was great. The restaurant was pretty clean and it had a steady stream of customers. The location is good and easy to find.
By Robyn Wilson (2 weeks ago)I never write reviews, but just had to because the chicken Caesar salad I just had was the best salad I have had in my life!!!!! Amazing. My wife loves the salmon and vinegret dressing for the salad.👍👍👍👍👍By Andrew Moody (6 months ago)

What kind of food do you get when you are traveling through Maine? Seafood, of course! This place came highly recommended by the locals. They have an extensive menu and very helpful and friendly wait staff. I got the Fisherman’s Platter, the large. I should have got the small. The large was so big that the waitress asked if she could get me anything else and I answered, “How about two more hungry people?”. Later, I asked her if I would get a t-shirt if I cleaned my plate.” I would have to say that this place was a great catch.
Update: I went back for another round the next night. This time I got the Loaded Lobster Roll another masterpiece of culinary art.By David Woods (6 months ago)Always awesome service and consistently great food. Fit for foodies no matter what you order. Seafood always fresh and cooked just as it should be in your selection of batters. Take home leftovers are wonder for another meal the next day. How awesome is that!By Joyce Walker (a year ago)If I could give this restaurant 10 stars , I would.Mary D (short blond waitress that worked on May 7th) – shout out to the BEST server and hands down BEST service my mother and I have ever experienced! She was fast , had an amazing personality , and she handled us with outstanding service and care. There aren’t many waitresses who can wait on as many tables as she had and fill everyones need, be attentive , warm , and accomodating with a smile.
The manager on duty (son of owner) was absolutely charming , extremely nice and accommodating , and a pleasure to speak to. It was so cool to hear stories of this place , and the many years of history behind it! It was extremely busy and this manager was working just as hard as his staff , had everything under control , and was even attentive to his own staffs needs during the rush. I apologize I forgot your name but BIG SHOUT OUT TO YOU!
The food was AMAZING, it did not disappoint !The seafood stuffing was so good we asked to take some home and said we would pay for it. The manager had no issue accomodating us ! The fan tail shrimps were large ,meat , juicy , and perfectly breaded , the chowder was out of this world ! The haddock bites are soft and flaky , very flavorful! The stuffed mushrooms with the seafood stuffing was my favorite !
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your help with making my mom’s weekend so special. It is one of our favorite experiances and we WILL be back.
By Jessica Mitchell (8 months ago)I’ve been to this restaurant many times and always had decent food and portions. Tonight I went in with my wife for dinner and ordered a large portion of haddock and scallops and was served a sad portion of food. Asked the waitress if they brought a small and she got her manager. First words of the manager was” is that all they brought out” I had a peice of fish and 4 scallops. I said yes. She checks with kitchen and said they weigh everything and it’s correct. 23 dollars and it was about half of what I would normally get. I said I’ll pay for the large and not come back again or charge me for a small. Needless to say I was charged for a large and will not go back. Was one of our favorite restaurants for lobster rolls and seafood. Service was poor tonight also, never brought any tarter sauce and they didn’t bring my wifes chowder out with her meal as requested. I do have a picture of the meal. The food was decent, just not what the portion has always been.By Jeremy P (5 months ago)While the vegetarians loved their veggie stir-fry, the rest of us found the chicken parm baked chicken & haddock au gratin to be bland, lacking flavor. We dined at a weekday lunch. While it is my aunt’s favorite place, her nieces & great niece agree to not return. None of us realized that anyone else had disliked their dishes until we days later.By Stephanie Umbro (5 months ago)

Only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because we got the window Seay I asked for. I ordered an $18 meal and the asparagus was not cooked fully, the shrimp was over cooked and hard to eat. The broccoli should’ve have been more steamed. You get a small amount of food for a big price. Not worth it to me.By The Youngs (5 months ago)Been coming since I was 5. Family favorite for years. Last couple years it had gone down hill for food. Appetizers are a no brainer no to get missed up. Order steak, pork or chicken, you’ll be in for a surprise. I ordered a 18oz T-Bone Steak …asked for medium. I got rare with zero seasoning. The broccoli was rawr, only flavor on the plate was the mushroom in the rice pilaf. Sucks to see this after going here for many years. Wouldn’t recommend coming here for anything but Appetizers and drinks. Staff was friendly and apologetic. Hence not being 1 star. Hope this helps.By Zach Vanier (9 months ago)Had a House salad: lovely assortment of fresh veges – chopped lettuce, carrots slivers, grape tomato, cabbage, parmesan cheese, croutons (alot); MidWestern Bowl- warm brow rice, corn, black bean base, Pico de Gallo, guac.guacamole., shredded slow cooked lean pork, sour cream – great meal, great service by Kaitlyn.By Christine Popovich (5 months ago)We came in with a group of 10. we told them in advance and they got us seated. The only thing I will say is they’re seating arrangement for groups is not the best, but pretty good. The waiter was really friendly and he did an amazing job serving us. Id give him 6 stars if I could. I had a steak and it was delicious. Absolutely worth a stop.By Nasiseia (2 months ago)It’s the 99, not Ruth’s Chris Steak House, so let’s get that out of the way. Food was very good, hot and it all hit the table simultaneously. Server had a great attitude, kept the popcorn flowing, making my mother-in-law happy, so was tipped 20%. When I left there was a big crowd in the lobby waiting for tables to free up – that certainly says something… Would definitely go back…By Ken Griffin (2 months ago)
