Update: I am currently a freshman at Garfield and I’d say so far so good. Our band director is awesome (you should join) and I’d say we have some decent athletic teams. There are so many different clubs during lunch you can join, you are even allowed to start your own club!

Its a whole crowd of followers. Its all about grades, grades, grades. Its so boring. Great building from the early 20th century they was extensively remodeled. Great location, with bus routes coming near Garfield from across the city. Fantastic teachers, especially in the science department. The diversity of the student body forces people across the political spectrum to challenge their own views and engage in productive arguments with people who disagree with them. And from what I’ve heard from him about what Ballard is like now, it hasn’t gotten much better than it was when I went here.
