My older sister, cousin, mom, and 4 of my aunts went here and all said that it was a really good school. I can’t wait until I get to go here!

Update: I am currently a freshman at Garfield and I’d say so far so good. Our band director is awesome (you should join) and I’d say we have some decent athletic teams. There are so many different clubs during lunch you can join, you are even allowed to start your own club!

The leadership here makes me absolutely cringe. This is not about football. On a daily basis students here constantly follow the louder person and never speak up. Its a whole crowd of followers. Its all about grades, grades, grades. Its so boring. I left for another school and am happy about my decision.

The best education you can get at a Seattle high school. Great building from the early 20th century they was extensively remodeled. Great location, with bus routes coming near Garfield from across the city. Fantastic teachers, especially in the science department. The diversity of the student body forces people across the political spectrum to challenge their own views and engage in productive arguments with people who disagree with them. I have grown both as a student and as a person by going to this school.

I’m so proud of you for taking a brave stand for what you believe. Cowards never personally risk anything but talk about those who do. Significant changes don’t happen peacefully because people have so much hatred & fear in their hearts. False patriotism will worship the symbols only but you want to see America (people) become who God meant for us to be. You will all become better citizens than yout critics.

Congratulations to a football team and a school that values every student and every citizen and realizes that the Bill Of Rights is what gives us our freedom. It is to be valued above a piece of cloth, even a meaningful one, and above any martial music. We are free because of our rights enshrined in the Constitution. You are as valuable in defense of those rights as the military. Go Bulldogs!

Don’t take French people who take French are dumb and the auto shop is a huge waste of time touched a car like 3 times the whole semester and learned, like, nothing useful

Ingrahams lack of support for the Special Olympics is very concerning. I guess they don’t want to support their own players. How sad is that? No opening ceremonies and they make the kids each lunches outside when it’s freezing. How disrespectful to special need players.

I used to go here, but I transferred to Ingraham. And now my brother goes here. And from what I’ve heard from him about what Ballard is like now, it hasn’t gotten much better than it was when I went here. But at least some of the teachers are good, like Mr. Thompson.
✭✭ By Sarah Howard (5 years ago)
The teachers that try are great, and I loved them. The teachers that don’t try gave up their will for tenure years ago.

Mr. Wynkoop is a sad excuse of a man who gets a power trip from having authority over children in an institution he never got to leave in a physical, emotional, nor mental sense.

Nice drinking fountains but the tiling is abrasive. Spodies are sub par. Love the kid with the “ooo killem” sweatshirt and “swag” snapback, thats a plus.
