This school did not prepare me for college. As a freshman in college I was behind my peers because my instructor assumed I knew the fundamentals. I was so unprepared for college that after lecture I was forced to teach myself the fundamentals to catch up with the rest of my peers. Thankful I was able to manage after my first year in college. This school didn’t encourage me to apply for scholarships or to even go to college. Fortunately, I pushed myself on my own with no knowledge about college since my parents are illegal with no education like the majority of the students in this school. Now, I have been at Arizona State University since I graduated from this high school with a 3.9 GPA. Also, the detention instructor at this school said that I was either going to end up in jail or doing drugs. True story. Do yourself a favor and take your kids to another high school.

This school is so rigorous yet so fun. I think it sucks ass but who cares right?!? I’m having mental breakdowns over heaps and heaps of useless homework that stresses my peers and I out every second of my life ever since school began. Take your incoming freshman to a different school, please, I’m only trying to help.

the food is terrible. the french fries are cold and hard. my teacher wont round my grade from a 49 to an 90. kms. there is roaches is the pond is not as promising as it seems. there is no field. the chickens are dying. too many people im always tripping over them. this school makes me wanna drop out and be a stripper, culinary charges too much for the cookies. the gym is to small. my spanish teacher trippin. securities arent hot enough.

Bethany and I went to get our haircut from metro tech protege salon. On Thursday’s it’s $6 and your friends haircut is free. I thought my hair turned out pretty good. Bethany got her eyebrows done and she wasn’t as happy with them.

This high school has a career-based education system. They have Career and Technical Education (CTE). For the student who is unsure of the career they are to pursue, Metro Tech does a really good job of helping you in your decision. This is a fun place to be, but it all depends on the mindset you have. If you are not serious about your education or about your career, then start taking steps toward that discovery.
I went to MTHS for all 4 years of high school. It is there where I discovered my passion for Business. I joined Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and participated to the fullness of my disposition. During the time that I was in FBLA, i was able to participate in many competitions. I was able to fly to New York City with others from my group. I was even able to accumulate a total of 92 hours of community service.

This is a horrible school! If you have another choice take it. I had a teacher recommend that I take my children else where due to the fact that they are white. “They will struggle to fit in and have a hard time because they at white I would if it were me”. That’s sad what’s even worse is she was right! Not only do the teachers not want to help the students learn “you should already know we went over it yesterday” so they won’t go over it again. But my daughter was punished because she was jumped on the way home from school! There are daily fights caused by the students so much to the point my children were afraid to go everyday and would beg to stay home. I was also informed of some of the security guards having sexual relations with students! And my daughter saw one of them snorting something white

MARCHING BAND IS COOL!
I was a member of the Alhambra Marching Band and let me tell you something, this school may not have a good reputation but one thing for sure is that the marching band is one of the most fastest growing in the district, Mr Kalish is an amazing Band instructor and anyone who wants to be a part of a family and make friends that you can always count on should join Band! No experience even needed

However, The school spirit sucked, I felt kind of felt like a delinquent during lunch. The security is rude to even the students who are doing what the need to be doing.
I wish the school gave the students a little more independent liberty.

I’ve been to a lot of schools in the district and this one is the best they have an outstanding medical program and the teachers do care and alot they teach us discipline and the rumors they say about Alhambra are 90% are lies. They say it’s ghetto it kinda is and they say it’s a bad school cause of the student’s but it all depends on who you choose to hang with.

Horrible, horrible administrative staff! Have given me a very hard time obtaining school records and refuse to help at all! Even the school district won’t help… seems like they don’t want kids taken out of this school.
Not sure about the teaching staff but administrative are just the worst!

We were at a recent STEM Science exhibit and were very impressed with the projects the students did. We showed Solar and Electric vehicles and these students understood the Science and connections to Clean Energy and Transportation. In Phoenix the Solar Energy is a great resource.

The staff is my main issue. Nobody is helpful at this school. Not the front desk people, the counselors, the people in charge. The people in the front office are the worst people to talk to with horrible attitudes. I hate having to make trips to the front office because of them. Some of the teachers are great and are definitely more caring than the people in charge

Horrible school. Most of the teachers and students are just rude and horrible people. Some of the buildings are nasty and it always smelled like weed in the buildings. Don’t get me wrong there were a couple of teachers who were nice, but that was rare. Did not look forward to coming to school all the time. This school is just ghetto and horrible. The students never had school spirit either. Pep rallys sucked.

I wish I had gone to Trevor instead. The restrooms were either dirty or closed. I would eat fruit salads for lunch and two days in a row i found mold on my grapes so i started getting snacks from the snack bar and stuck with that until i graduated. At one point, I had gone to my counselor and I asked to be put in a support group because I was going through a lot at the time but she never put me in so I had to deal with the chaos myself. The teachers were nice except one that I had my freshman year, glad she retired my senior year. Majority of the students thought they were all that and put other students down such as myself. I let them though because those kids weren’t worth my time because a lot of them were just idiots.

This school offends all five of my senses. It looks bad. It smells bad. It sounds bad. It feels bad, and it taste bad. Yeah it taste bad. You know when you smell something and you can kind of taste it? Well, that’s this school. -420/10 would not recommend.

Good school, I’d recommend it. I originally wanted to go to Bioscience but, I’m glad I attended this one. Teachers are great (Mr.Mora in economics was one of my top five). In all you can find great opportunity to grow as a student. Kind of wish they cut down on the junk in vending machines but, let the kids have their fun I guess. Friendly diverse students (yet I was a nerd who didn’t socialize a lot but I was in theater and, the schools poetry club)

I went there for a while and teachers were just plain rude. I was in I.B. and I only felt the help of 1 of my many teachers. It’s not a terrible school though, I have seen many worse.

Been to Central and Maryvale, by far North exceeds them. Their academics are amazing. The teachers will work with you till you pass thier class. I recommend this school for anyone

Trevor is honestly a good school. Yes, it is a big school and a lot of people think it’s not good but it actually is. A lot of my friends went to Trevor Browne and graduated, ready for college. Trevor prepares you really good for a better life. For a better future. I really recommend this school.

Second graduating class – 1974. Used to be a great school. Open campus was pretty cool, good teachers and wonderful memories. When I lived in the area it was still an upper middle class neighborhood. Wow does time ever change things.
