The ambiance is what you expect at a Folly Beach icon. The service was excellent. We had lunch on a perfect day for the outside tables. We had the crab dip appetizer, crab cakes, and flounder stuffed with crab meat with a sherry sauce. These are all Crab Shack specialties. I highly recommend them. Thanks to Aaron and Ron for a great afternoon at Folly Beach.

Very busy, but was worth the wait! Crab Balls were excellent!!! Crab legs were higher than I liked, but is definitely the current “norm.” The host- didn’t get her name- who also bused tables was the hardest worker on the restaurant. Kathleen our server was awesome!! Great atmosphere- live music on the deck. Would come back!

The best she crab soup I have ever had. The flavors and ingredients were absolutely perfect. The calimari was also delicious. Fast and friendly service. Dog friendly patio! We will be back for sure!!

    CRAB !!!!

Folly Beach, the best crab in Folly.

There is something about seafood near the beach area. It’s a celebration of taste. Pair it with your favorite tap brew and viola, you’re set.

This bustling area just off the beach is fun. Having excellent crab takes your experience to new heights.

Wear shorts and sport a fun tee shirt, wind down, enjoy amazing crab cakes.

Very well prepared snow crab, HUGE perfectly steamed shrimp, great crab cakes (fore Marylanders it’s more a NC cracker, don’t expect MD). Fast service. Really enjoyed this place. Chloe did great.

Great beach vibe. Obviously a place where locals visit so to me that means it’s worth going! I didn’t get fancy. Just wanted a side of bacon and breakfast potatoes but both were delicious. The cocktails were super! Bellini & Paloma for me…both refreshing. My partner mixed it up with some frozen drinks and loved them. The service was outstanding! Convenient spot to walk to on Folly.

Everything was delicious. Enjoyed a breakfast shot, potatoes were seasoned and cooked with a nice crunch to it. Chicken and pancakes was different but still really good, for me, the gravy kinda through the taste off. Seafood omelet and salad had good flavor. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive.

Great service from the two hosts and from our two servers. Some of the freshest and fastest food in Folly Beach.

Shrimp and fish tacos 5-stars for flavor and freshness. Pulled pork sandwich super tasty.

Shout out to Logan and Cody. They actually talked to us about where we we from and asked about things to see and do back home. Really nice service so fast we never waited for anything.

Outstanding experience! Memorable evening for our group of adults and teenagers at this cozy and tastefully decorated beach themed restaurant. The hostess, manager, and our server made us feel welcome and they didn’t miss a beat on service. The menu offered variety that met our groups wishes, and everyone in our group said their meal was delicious. Highly recommend the blackened grouper sandwich or fish and shrimp sandwich. If you like fish, you won’t be disappointed!

Ideal place for when you’re at the beach but in need of lunch! We literally rolled up in our beach attire after being at the beach since 9AM for a noon-time lunch break and wow was it a solid meal. The burger was very good and the fish and shrimp tacos were SO good! Absolutely recommend for a quick, solid meal.

We went for lunch during a weekday and the service was great. Highly recommend the tacos and the cheese dip! And the danger sauce is really dangerous! I love spicy food and normally sauces aren’t that spicy to me but this one got me. It was a great meal on a beautiful day.

We had a great time eating dinner at Taco Boy in Folly Beach!

We were initially drawn in by the huge open bar, but we happily seated in the indoor dining area. All parts of the restaurant had amazing decor that had a fun and laid back beach vibe!

We all had a different type of quesadilla, and the Quesabirria won for best flavor out of all of them! The drinks were incredible as well. I only wish I could have tried everything on the menu!

Great local place with outdoor seating and a rooftop bar. Queso and chips were good but some chips were very salty. The Mexican corn was delicious. Tacos were delicious. Next time I will order flour tortillas instead of corn tortillas. Corn tortillas are not crunchy. Not bad, just not what I was expecting. Mango salsa in the Al Pastor was very good but would have liked more. They do not give you free chips and salsa. Great, traditional Mexican. Very good service. Would eat here again

Solid taco/Mex with low-fuss service and good food. Our two fish and shrimp tacos (one each grilled and fried) were well seasoned if a little under-sauced (one star off). Corn tortillas made by people who understand corn tortillas. Beans and rice much better than average. Excellent house hot sauce. Terrific view and venue. We’ll be back.

Best part was the atmosphere. Food presentation was much better than the quality. Walk up and asked for table inside, was told would be 45-1hr. Wait. Ok. We went up to top bar and had drinks and apps. All good, hour later they sat us outside, even though we asked for inside and waited….so we politely declined, and I guess rejoined the waiting list for an inside table like we originally requested. About 30 min later we were sat. A bit ridiculous if you ask me. Waiter was great. Bathrooms were clean. Service and food quality were ho-hum at best. Can say I went there, but would definitely check out another place first.

Really cool place to visit! It’s probably where all the locals go. I’m so glad another business owner recommended that I visit them and try their coffee. The espresso is so good and creamy. They grind everything right in front of you. The latte was on point. My husband just got three shots and was amazed how smooth and creamy they were. Highly recommend them! Very fun place with a cool vibe.

This is probably the best place to grab breakfast on Folly. I really enjoy their burritos! Be sure to add the green chilies if you like a little spice. You also have to treat yourself to one of their cinnamon rolls! They are big enough to share.

Very nice local-ish type of place to eat. Love the vibe and the dog theme, along with the true Folly Beach feel to the restaurant. Only reason i’m not giving it 5 stars, is because the food wasn’t anything special. Eggs and some burnt toast, Pancakes were good, but nothing to write home about. Overall, I would recommend checking this place out. Definitely worth it. I just wouldn’t go expecting to be blown away by the cuisine.

Lost Dog is a Gem. I have been addicted to the Shrimp and Grits since the early 2000s. The ambiance is heartwarming, with pics of family pets adorning the walls alongside the occasional mantra. They offer brunch drinks just in case you like a little spice to your life, and we love them for that. I had Shrimp n Grits and a Bellini. What ain’t right with that ?? 🐝🐝

We really enjoyed this location! We came on a Wednesday around 9am and it was busy but we got in right away. I had a bowl of fruit, eggs, and a cinnamon roll, all delicious! Husband had biscuits and gravy and said they probably were the best he had, I would agree! The coffee with baileys would be a pass the next time though.

Loved the customer service from the wait staff. I’ll say it may be a good spot for drinks, wasn’t too fond on the food. The mozzarella sticks could have been fried longer. The fried oysters were more of a miss than a hit. Being on folly the competition for seafood is serious. The wings were ok. My daughter loved the cheesesteak she had. My husband was not a fan of the fried shrimp it tasted Luke warm by the time it got to us. The fries were good. If I came back it would most likely be for the drinks.

Party of 6 seated immediately at 11am outside on the deck. Our waitress was great, very attentive and helpful with menu suggestions. Hamburger was cooked perfectly and delicious, chips were ok, some were not crispy. Great atmosphere, full bar, good menu options.

Go ahead and do yourself a favor and order the mozzarella sticks! These were AMAZING! Ordered a Miami vice and it was really good. I ordered the scallops with a side Caesar (it’s hard to mess up a Caesar salad) but I wouldn’t order the scallops again. They were fried which I loved but were just getting soggy because there was SO much oil. Also, for the price, just not worth it to me.

The host was amazing and helped seat us, and we had 2 small children. One of the high chairs had broken buckles (before I would never care about this, but just had a friend whose son flipped out of a high chair because he wasn’t buckled in and fractured his skull, so I’ve been more adamant about buckling in)

Our waitress was nice and on top of her game.

The burgers must’ve come from frozen patty’s as they were hard and flavorless. The Po Boy was okay at best but the loaded tater tots and the fries were excellent. The rum punch in the bucket was delicious!!!

We got there late, around 2145hrs, kitchen orders close by 2200hrs. They had live music outside, but we had chosen to sit inside, because of the unusual chill in the air. Our food and service were great, considering the time. Atmosphere was great. I just wish our table had a little more illumination or a lamp to read the menus. Our kids loved the art of sharks teeth and the free table-top arcade. All-in-all, it was a good experience, and we would visit there again. I recommend!
