I’ve been to several Mellow Mushroom locations before now, but really liked the look, atmosphere and overall location of this one. It’s located right in the heart of Downtown Athens and has a tall and open feel. The servers were very attentive and friendly and were quick on orders. As a side note, I ordered a LIl Greek and forgot how big those were because I was practically full by the time my pizza came out! Great place to stop for a drink and meal when in Athens.By Keelan Seabolt (9 months ago)I stopped by on Saturday and I just have to give so much praise to this place. The food was delicious and the service was even better. The waitress, I believe her name was Katie, was incredible, I never even had to ask for refill!! Honestly, I wasn’t having that great of a day and she was able to turn it around with her kind words and actions. Thanks Mellow for having the best atmosphere and best staff in Athens!! Go Dawgs!!By Sydny Hollis (2 months ago)First time going to a Mellow Mushroom. Ordered two pies. Both were made incorrectly. Wasn’t just a small mistake either. The two cooks in the kitchen looked like they didn’t care and clearly showed that on making horrible pizzas. Our server was friendly, so nothing to complain about her. Though she did say she let the manager know about the two pizzas being made wrong, yet they never decided to come to our table to apologize. Pizza itself was just okay. Way too much dough and mellow red sauce is not that great. If the manager came over to acknowledge their mistake I would give another chance but they seemed to not care that they provided a bad first experience.By J (a month ago)Hands down best mellow mushroom I’ve been to by far! Food is outstanding I’ll be it a little crowded but the fantastic service more than makes up for that! Our server Katie was outstanding and we will definitely be back again!By Axel Harrell (2 months ago)A bit of a wait to get a table and a longer wait to get a beer at the bar! The food was excellent even if my food came out after everyone else was done! Well worth the wait! I understand every place is struggling with enough help!By Kim Garcia (a month ago)

The turkey avocado Blt was sooo good, definitely getting again. I loved the strawberry mint lemonade!!By Pia Campbell (7 months ago)I had the Fuji salad and it was really good. The Green Passion Smoothie was also good. The chili lime salad wasn’t bad. The ginger hibiscus drink tasted like water.By Aasiyah Porter (a year ago)Like most franchises there is little difference in the quality of the food from one place to another. The difference is service. I ordered my sandwich from the kiosk and added avocado for an upcharge. The staff must not have noticed this because it wasn’t added. No big deal. I immediately mentioned it to the staff and the manager was there as well. She told her person to just put the avocado in a cup and I can add it to my sandwich. Isn’t that what I just paid you to do? I said something and the manager got an attitude quickly. Not the right way to treat your customers especially when the error was on your side.By Rocco Renzo (in the last week)This location was a discombobulated mess from the moment we arrived. Attempted to use touchscreens which told us they were out of stock on items we could clearly see a dozen or more of behind the register. Then, the order would keep refusing to go through, telling us there was an unseen error that needed to be corrected. Finally gave up & went to a register. Ordered at the register where each person’s meal had at least one component of which they were out of (mostly breads like sourdough). Oh, but it gets worse from there. The order we requested as to-go at the register comes out plated. We say something. Staff snaps at customer that we should have said something before we stood watching her make the order (as if we KNEW it was our order she was prepping). Even the rudeness of staff might have been easily brushed aside, except for then each and every meal ordered was as if they trying to stretch the ingredients because the restaurant was out of the main item. Chicken salad & tuna were spread so thin, it was as if they were a condiment on the sandwich rather than the featured ingredient. Veggie sandwich was more like a bowl of hummus with bread and a few veggies to dip rather than relegated to the level of condiment as it normally would be (true story, I’ve ordered this sandwich for YEARS & tonight was the 1st time I could say I was actually aware hummus was part of the sandwich). In fact, there was so much hummus & spread so thickly, it was hard to determine if it was in the sandwich or used as frosting. And, this wasn’t a matter of stretched too thin staff. I counted at least half a dozen team members which seems more than enough for an evening shift at this particular chain. I won’t lie and say I’ll NEVER be back, but suffice it to say I’m going to consider other options first & put a lot of time between now and my next visit.By Lori Abramson (3 months ago)Placed an order online for the “rapid” pickup. They didn’t even start preparing it until 10 minutes after my quoted ready time. Watched people walk inside, placed their orders and get their food before me en masse. What’s the point of the “rapid” pick up then?By Sean Thompson (2 months ago)

Jason’s Deli was delicious! The food was flavorful and so fresh! The Ruben sandwich was piled high with 1/2 pound of meat, tangy sauerkraut, gooey melted provolone cheese and just a smear of thousand island dressing. The bread was lightly toasted. Very yummy.
The California Club sandwich was like a salad in your mouth just bursting with freshness. The meat was the perfect amount with a generous serving of crisp greens, firm and juicy tomato slice, perfectly cooked bacon and flavorful guacamole. The croissant was also lightly toasted and perfectly flaky. Absolutely wonderful!
The fruit was crisp and juicy and the dip was a vanilla cream of some kind.Their hibiscus tea is slightly sweet and very refreshing.
I highly recommend Jason’s deli and have visited the last two times I was in Athens.
They also have an amazing salad bar that looks fabulous but I have not tried it myself.
By S V (7 months ago)Absolutely blown away
Sandwiches were absolutely amazing
Salad bar was to die for, first one I had since the pandemic shut everything down.
Tons of goodies all fresh and stockedPlus they unlimited fountain soda, iced tea, ice cream, and anything the heart desires
Is very nice clean restaurant and the staff beyond courteous and attentive
I wish they had more of these up north I would definitely frequent more often.
Can’t wait to come back to Athens and visit Jason’s again
By Sifu Tim Berkemeier -Traditional Wing Chun (2 months ago)My husband ordered 1/4 muffeletta with bbq chips and side salad. He got plain chips and no salad. Service was slow but I get it as there aren’t enough people to work. Bathroom was not clean and things hanging off the walls. The picture of nothing beside his plate is where his salad isn’t. I come here a good bit and unfortunately the standards seem to be slipping.By Barry Turner (9 months ago)Our party of two stopped in for dinner on a Wednesday evening around 7:00 pm. David greeted us and took our order. I mentioned I was considering a dessert but should probably pass on it.We joked around and David joined in. His cheerful disposition and customer service skills impressed us.
We both ordered the manager’s special of a half sandwich and 2 sides which was perfect for a light supper. Towards the end of our meal, David came over and personally treated us to a surprise strawberry short cake.
The combination of awesome service by David, delicious food and an unexpected kindness made our night.
By Cindy Malota (a month ago)Reuben the great and potato soup hit the spot! Was pleasantly surprised with the hibiscus tea. The young lady who took my order was awesome. The inside of the building was not what I expected based on the outside! Will definitely be back!By Rachel Turpin (5 months ago)

It was an amazing experience. My order was taken by a girl named Jaz. She was super nica and she seemed so happy. I love to see that on a workplace, it’s an indicator of a good work environment. Food was so fresh. I tried the lamb burger and it was really good, specially if you’re familiar with strong flavors. The hummus is very good and also the pimento cheese.By Carlos Narvaez (4 months ago)We always love Tasikis! My wife and myself have ate here regularly for lunch dates for years. Always fresh, wonderfully cooked, full of flavor food. The best deal is the family meal. It’s like having a healthy home cooked meal without the hassle at a very affordable price. Highly recommend and definitely pick up the family meal!By Elias Hernandez (3 months ago)Absolutely FANTASTIC lamb gyro with delicious chunks of meat! Juicy and perfectly cooked! Also great hummus. You must try this place! ♥️By Andrea K (3 months ago)We visited when temp was 11 degrees and the restaurant closed because of broken heater. The owner saw us approach and opened the store anyway and made us a 5 wonderful meals that we ate at home. What service!By Geoff Kirk (2 weeks ago)Great food. But customer service was lacking. We placed a combined delivery order worth $150 and immediately called back to add a tomato soup that was overlooked when ordering, and they wouldn’t allow us to add it. All items were sent except the drinks.By Robin Ingram (a year ago)

We asked a local where to eat. They did not hesitate to call this place out as a top contender amongst a sea of establishments staples. I can honestly say I would eat there at least once a day if I lived there. Sauces where phenomenal. Meats and tofu were both seasoned perfectly and cooked to textural perfection. I am so jealous that I do not live closer!By Michelle Wallace (5 months ago)Really great place for healthy and delicious food! Found this place unexpectedly a few months back and I can’t wait to go back! Pretty good pricing and great cozy atmosphere! The outdoor seating area is so nice and peaceful! Can’t rave enough about the food! And their homemade drinks…SO GOOD.By Grace Upon Grace Productions (a year ago)Loved our experience Maepole in Athens! The food was delicious and the staff was friendly. The menu is simple and easy to read and understand. Really enjoyed all the plant-based options they had.By Ryan Hood (3 months ago)I love it! I felt great after eating, and I value their authenticity. My friend Rachele blessed me with this place. We sat outside wrapped up in blankets, chatting the night away. This restaurant is an excellent place for that.By A- Lane (a year ago)This place is small and you can only order your food online and pick it up to eat it outside which I thought was a bit strange cause most restaurants have opened back up BUT if this review is based solely on the food then this place is amazing. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The brown rice mixed with the mashed sweet potatoes was ingenious. The radish and cucumber was slightly citrusy but in the best way. The chicken was a bit dry but it was not as noticeable when paired with the spicy avocado and honey sriracha sauces. The lemonade was too sour and paying $1 for a tiny sliver of kimchi was NOT worth it but it makes up for it with you being able to recycle or compost almost everything they use, including the utensils. Hubby had the pork which was also a little dry but flavorful and the quinoa salad was good but not as good as the sweet potato. Would definitely recommend!By Madison Jameson (a year ago)
