All you really need are shelves and bins. They do everything else, while working independently. They take instruction well (like “belong in the bedroom, just place it in the hall in a box….. I will deal with it later”). They did great, and I wish I could have them back for two weeks straight. I gave each gnome some really nice potted plants from my rescue collection as a tip. 4 months agoOriginally, the team that came to clean was exceptional. Then different people started coming to clean, and as the quality went down, I would write to the company and ask for the original team or at least one of them so the new people would know what to do. The person who responds to messages could never take any responsibility for the issues, so I finally terminated Maids by Trade.11 months agoI was a loyal customer for almost 2 years. We had several issues but because I’m loyal we stuck with and kept trying to build rapport and relationships. I have a small, 1 level 950 sq foot home. Small, open, minimal clutter, always picked up and ready for my 1X per month clean. The team always missed something, left things undusted and they never put things back. They moved my stuff around or made it look like a straight up tornado came through. One time they broke my shower head and I spent weeks arguing and sending photos before they would reimburse $60. My new shower head ended up costing more then that, but it was such a fight. They then spent time walking through to inspect before a clean following that, costing ME more money for their time for them to report things that had a knick or scratch like I had done something wrong and they were going to make sure they got that $ back. Look, I can afford to replace my things if they break. My shower worked in the morning and the next day, blew water everywhere with a big chip out of the side..and I don’t have kids. Felt awful to genuinely have had my property damaged but was made to feel like I did something wrong when wanting it replaced. They made clerical errors resulting in their team no showing to appointments, and ultimately they cost me a lot of time and money around rescheduling and their teams taking (and billing) more time. Regardless of what it was, when I had an issue I was argued with, tried to be made at fault and dickered with constantly even when they were 100% in the wrong, with proof. They are extremely difficult to schedule with and rescheduling was challenging. They pack houses on the schedule, blow through super fast, miss stuff and charge a premium rate. Their service needs some serious work both from an administrative side and a cleaning team side. My house never smelled clean when they left. I finally made a switch, probably way too late, but again, really tried to work with them to see if things improved, but it was time to go. My intent for this review is to give honest feedback and hope the company makes some changes to better their practices and service provided. I will say this… The first deep clean was amazing. They did every crack, every corner, my oven, vents, blinds. It was amazing. It was the regular monthly cleans that followed combined with the back office service that was highly disappointing. So if you want a great 1X deep clean, I’d recommend, but would not refer business to them for monthly service based on current practices and staff.7 years agoI have been using Maids By Trade for several years now. I am very happy with the way the teams clean my house. They are always very careful and do a wonderful job. They also try very hard to accommodate me when my schedule changes and I need an extra cleaning or I need to cancel a cleaning. The email reminder the day before is also a nice touch. Many of the team members knew my kids by name and would greet them upon arrival. All of the team members have been exceptionally poIite and courteous. Mari and Ruvia did a wonderful and efficient job, both were very warm and friendly. I am immensely happy with the work they did, I live with three adult men who never clean and because I am not their mother/wife/girlfriend I have not been cleaning for them. I finally made the decision to hire house cleaners. This will be first truly clean shower in far too long. Can’t really put a price on that.
I hired Molly maid (I believe it was Team 4; Lorena and another lovely woman who’s name I can’t remember because I’m awful) to clean my apartment before I moved out. It was quite possibly the best experience ever. The team went above and beyond and even helped me move out a few remaining things. The apartment was immaculate after they were done and I will never not hire cleaners when moving out again. So much less stress and it was just great. Highly would recommend.
