  Yesterday I had the pleasure of purchasing a car from Dave Morton Auto Sales. They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable and made the experience quick and painless. Mike and Tom helped me pick the right car and John helped me run the numbers on it. All the gentlemen involved in the car purchase were highly experienced (I think Mike said he had 20+ years of car sales experience in Portland). They gave me a student discount and let me drive the car to Jiffy Lube up the street to get it inspected before buying. They were polite, honest, and real with me throughout the whole process which is a rare thing to find at used car lots these days.   John is awesome! Professional and friendly, he not only got us squared away at the lot with our new pickup but drove it home for us so my husband could drive our old vehicle. Also gave us some helpful and knowledgeable advice on our geriatric Saturn. If we end up not fixing it, we will be making Dave Morton our first stop for a new vehicle!

  Don’t go to Dave Morton’s. They sold me a car that needed a turbo intake valve replaced (Without telling me, of course) and what’s hilarious is that the part I need to replace is nationally back ordered so no car for me but I’m down 12 grand. Don’t shop here.

  EDIT- I want to preface this edit by including the fact that I’m six months pregnant, with a car that doesn’t run and no job because of it. I lost a job opportunity because the job required I have my own running vehicle. Which I thought I had after spending $12,000 at Dave Morton’s.

  The response from this company is unacceptable. Instead of owning up to conning me, they claim four months of driving it caused it to break down. Bet they didn’t know it’s been sitting in my driveway for four months. I put MAYBE a hundred miles on that car before I stopped driving it completely because the grinding sound that was very faint when I bought it had gotten very loud. I got it looked at by a trusted mechanic and the part was busted when I bought it. There’s no way the gentle driving I put on that car for that WHOLE WEEK caused the turbo hose to completely crack open. So no- it wasn’t in good condition the last four months OR when I bought it-

  ALSO the salesman sat on top of the broken seat belt in the back seat to hide it from me during the test drive. Real cute.

  I spent all my money on this car. EVERY DOLLAR. I don’t have extra just lying around to pay for fixes that shouldn’t have been needed in the first place. I paid for a car that would run, not that would need MORE money spent to get it to run. But the major point is, even if I had the money I couldn’t get it fixed. The part that is broken is nationally back-ordered. Not available. Anywhere.

  This whole review will be deleted if Dave Morton’s owns up to it and either buys the car back or fixes it by somehow obtaining the part needed.

  If this review is still up, neither of those things have happened. BUY YOUR CAR SOMEWHERE ELSE
