The answers they gave us was, “bring the car in and if it’s covered under warranty then we will fix it, if it’s not covered under warranty, we will charge you $170 for bringing it in”. Remember… this is for a seat belt. I just expected better service I guess. Chris, the service manager did give me a call back and was very clear and transparent with me, unlike the rest of the staff. He gave me recommendation and did not seem annoyed that he had to do his job.4 months agoI had a great oil change experience today, which is not always the case. The people were very personable, and the service was quick. The reason I have not given it five stars is that the chairs in the waiting room are so soiled it made me reluctant to sit in them, they desperately need to be cleaned or replaced and I have mentioned this prior, but they’ve not acted on this. This does reflect on the pride of the dealership and the importance it places on customer health and comfort.

My sales Ezra is a friendly guy. He worked diligently to answer all my questions and checked the status of inventory. He helped me to reserve a 2023 Chevy Bolt EV 1LT and made sure all the items on the checklist were completed. I arranged a car shipping pickup and he made sure it was picked up.
Nick in the finance department is also a friendly guy. He walked me through all the steps remotely and took care of all paperwork.

The service manager suggested 15,000 mile work to be done at 11,000 mile oil change. I think that was much too early. Then John had an issue with his credit card and I had to come and use my card. I thought being their customer and paying cash for his vehicle they should have been willing to send him a bill and let him take his truck home. The credit card has excellent credit score but a payment had not been paid by Bill Pay. So they denied his card. This is not good service as far as I am concerned Liz
We bought our 2016 Jeep compass back in 2021 with only a little over 26000 miles on it! Fast forward to March of 2023 when we had to take it in because something was wrong with the 4 Wheel drive and the speed sensor as well. It got fixed fairly quickly. Skip to September 22, 2023 when we had to take it back in and now it needs a whole new transmission. Our car has been in the shop for over 3 months and with little to no communication on when it will be ready. our extended warranty would only cover a “rental” for 5 days but our service writer PJ told us that Lithia has loaners for situations like this. So after a week of sharing a vehicle with my fiance so I could get to both of my jobs. Lithia was able to get us a loaner. The first Loaner was a vehicle they were trying to sell. ( stickers still all over the car) After a few weeks we had to turn it back in and we got a different car this time it was a car right off the truck with only 17 miles on it. CRAZY!! We had this “loaner” for a few months and unfortunately on December 23, 2023 while driving under an overpass a rock was kicked down and hit the windshield. I called Lithia on December 26, 2023 AS soon as they were open. They called me back the next day to bring the car in to talk about the windshield and get another new “loaner”. I was there for a few hours and figured out how I was going to pay for this brand new windshield for a car that is a lot newer than my car that has been in the shop for over 3 months. When it came time to get a new “Loaner” a “manager” by the name of Blayne Odell came in and was so incredibly rude about the whole situation! “I told him the windshield was not my fault”, to which he replied “it’s not ours either.” He then explained that my extended warranty only covered a “rental” for 5 days, and that they had let me keep a “loaner” for longer than that. There were no options for me to get another loaner from them because of this. I was told different information from different people and then treated like scum for an accident! He continued to tell me over and over that I was costing them money by using the “Loaner” they loaned to me. I then asked if i needed to call for a ride and he said no we have a shuttle to get me where i needed to go! I declined and called for a ride. I feel this was so unprofessional of him. I was upfront about everything just to be treated poorly and left stranded without a vehicle. Lithia will give you the run around and will then leave you with nothing. I still wont get my car back until at least after the 9 of January! So, beware if you are buying a “New” 2024 Chev Equinox RS Blacked out from them with over 3,000 miles on it just know it also will have a new windshield, It was a loaner vehicle!
I showed up to my oil change appointment on time. My husband usually brings our vehicle in for service so I wasn’t familiar with which glass door to enter given there were 4-5 different ones . Service advisor that helped me greeted me with a “What! You never been here before?”, and not in a kind way either, instead of with a “hello” or “good morning” or “how can I help you today”. I’m a peachy person so I brushed it off and said that I have an appointment for an oil change. He inspected the vehicle and got info off of it. He assured it would be ready in an hour and that he will come get me once finished since I acknowledge that I will wait for my vehicle. At the hour, I figured I’d wait 10-15 more minutes before checking on my vehicle. Once that passed I happened to glance out a window and I saw my vehicle in a parking space. I get up and head to the service desk. There were 3 other customers in line. I waited about 5 minutes but then decided to go back to the waiting room. I waited another 10 minutes and then returned to the service desk. The same 3 customers were still there. I decided to wait. I would think my husband was impatient and complained too much when he brings our vehicle in for an oil change but now that I’ve brought it myself, I see why he complains. Again, I’m a peachy person but my peachiness turned sour by the time I got my vehicle. Service advisor acted like it was no big deal. Well, it’s a shame because his service reflects the company name. This is our 2nd vehicle from this dealer and I remember my husband complaining about their service department from when we had our first vehicle from here. It may be time to shop elsewhere even if it means sacrificing the convenience of location. Lithia Chevrolet of Redding need to better train their employees on customer service or remove the ones who fail to provide such service. I’m not looking for someone to kiss my butt, however, I do expect a proper greet upon arrival and a proper follow up with my vehicle, especially if it’s passed the agreed time of completion.
