I recently had a frustrating experience with Hanna Imports, specifically with a representative named Tabatha. Not only did I encounter scheduling issues, but Tabatha’s rude and dismissive attitude added to our families overall disappointment. Additionally, the repairs that were performed on our vehicle, which included the water pump and ball joint, should not have been charge an extra $152.43 for a diagnostic that apparently too “Two Hours”. This should have been covered by our extended warranty, which we were purchasing when we got our vehicle from the dealership.
When I initially contacted Hanna Imports two months prior to the issue, Tabatha informed me that they couldn’t fit me in until the end of January. While I understood their busy schedule, Tabatha and managements lack of empathy and understanding made the situation worse. Instead of offering alternative solutions or attempting to find a more suitable appointment, she simply brushed off my concerns.
Tabatha’s dismissive attitude continued when I expressed my dissatisfaction with the repairs. The water pump and ball joint were the specific areas that were repaired, unfortunately, this did not resolve the issues we were ultimately facing. Timing was our main concern. When I brought this to Tabatha’s and managements attention, they responded dismissively, suggesting that the problem was unrelated or downplaying the importance of our concerns.
As someone who values respectful and helpful service, I was deeply disappointed by the service centers behavior. It is essential for customer service representatives to treat customers with respect, even in challenging situations. Furthermore, the repairs performed on our vehicle should have been done accurately and effectively, but they fell short of my expectations.
I hope that Hanna Imports addresses both the issue of dismissive customer service and the quality of repairs provided. Proper training and better communication between representatives and customers are necessary to ensure that all customers are treated fairly and with dignity. Additionally, a thorough review of the repair process, COST and quality control measures should be implemented to prevent similar issues in the future.
Because of the terms of the extended warranty that we purchased, I really hope nothing happens to the mechanical of our vehicle’s motor so that we don’t have to deal with their service again.
We have purchased a total of four vehicles from Hanna Imports. Without a doubt, we will never purchase from them again.
Had to take some time to collect myself to write this review. So here it is:
When arriving everyone was very welcoming. As soon as I walked through the doors Andra McCandies was the first person to tend me. He listen to my requests and asked appropriate questions to fit my needs. He was very honest and transparent throughout the whole process. With the honesty and transparency from him and his team I was able to successfully get approved for a vehicle that I didn’t think I would have been approved for. Andra and his team really supported me through this process and was very determined to make sure all my needs were met and satisfied. I really do appreciate the Hanna family and I am very thankful I went in today.
The best part of my experience was working with a young sales guy, Andrew. I liked him. But every other aspect of dealing with this car transaction at Hannah imports was a disappointment. I went in prepared to pay cash for the 2023 Tesla Y With only 12,000 miles on it. They had advertised the car at reasonable price. When I offered to pay the asking price but rejected the exterior paint job warranty, I was told that was nonnegotiable. I had to pay the additional thousand dollars for the warranty. I even rejected the proposal and left hoping they call me back the next day. They did call back and I asked “what’s it gonna take to get this car” because I really wanted it. They said I had to buy the $1000 warranty. So I Went back the next day to pay for the vehicle and was told in addition to the warranty, I had to take out a loan with their bank lender at 8.5% and that also was nonnegotiable. They wouldn’t sell the car without creating financing. The minimum amount I could finance was $10,000. I wanted the car , I agreed to the financing , I paid the remaining balance and took possession of the Tesla.. The finance guy told me I needed to wait three months before closing out the financing (paying off ) which was not true. Within a few days I called Towne Bank in Greensboro and paid off my loan. I’m waiting for the title to come from the DMV. So Just know that the price Hannah Imports advertises is not the price you’ll pay. You will pay at least an additional $1000 for an exterior paint warranty & your hands will be tied to create financing that you’ll have to untie with a lot of correspondence with a third-party bank . And of course you’ll pay taxes tags, and other fees. it was kind of a bait and switch setup. They got you in the door, and if you really wanted the car, you will pay more than advertised. Love my car, but the experience of purchasing it from Hannah imports was irritating and unnecessarily fraught with hurdles and more time than necessary.
