Carmax has lost another customer for life. I was in the market for an awd suv and I found one at carmax in Michigan. I had the car transfer to Milwaukee and bought it. Two weeks ago I found out that carmax lied on the documents. The car is an fwd and carmax has been giving me the runaround for two weeks. Today they offered to buy the car back for the balance of the loan which they’ll turn around and sell for a profit. That would leave me with no car and in a position where I would have to finance another car or buy one outright. Carmax want to profit from their mistake which they have already admitted to. This shows that carmax doesn’t care about thier customer reputation or doing what’s right. If you’re in the market for a used car go anywhere but carmax they will screw you over to make a buck!
