I bought a Porsche and after one day of driving the car it was in the shop. Multiple messages came on the dash. After getting the car back I drove for one day and it had to be taken back to Carmax and determined the car was unfixable. The car had 4 different tires on it. The one from the picture is cracking and ruined. The fluids were low or empty in the car. There was water in the windshield, where the VIN shows. Carmax sold the car to me stating it was inspected and certified. There was more then 10k in repairs needed for the car. Unsafe to drive. I recommend anyone purchasing from Carmax to take the car for an inspection before purchasing. This particular Porsche should be sent to the junkyard. I returned the car and waited over 1 hour for customer service. A manager never addressed the issue or anyone tried to salvage the sale. My original sales person was nice and professional, but he didn’t have all the facts on the car.
I will never return to carmax again.
This is my 3rd car that I have bought from this Carmax. I keep coming back mainly because it’s no hassle. Even though I may be able to get a better price if I were to haggle with a salesperson and their manager and play all the little games that they play I much prefer to come in, walk the lot, pick out a car to test drive and then get a salesperson. I know the price upfront and I can either accept it or reject it by my own free will. Also the selection is much better then the dealerships. I’ll be coming back when it’s time to get my next car.
