If I could give this car lot a no star I would. The sales man was absolutely great his name was Carlos BUT his boss HAS lost his mind. Went there today to look at a Nissan truck they have on their lot now I mind you I have a 08 chevy silverado on a 6 inch lift with 33 inch tires & LOTS & LOTS of added extras on my truck my truck has around 150,000 miles on it yes its not 110% perfect BUT however I told the sales man when I got there that the cluster on my chevy wasn’t the original cluster due to mine all the lights in it went out & stopped working. So the mileage wasn’t correct told him that from the word go. WELL his boss wanted to offer me 4,000.00 for my chevy. That guy has lost his mind. KBB for my truck as it sits plus all the added extras on my truck is well worth the 7,000.00 that KBB says it’s worth. Needless to say myself & my husband left feeling plan stupid & so offended by the head sales guys offer of 4,000.00 for my lifted truck. I will attach pictures of my truck showing its well worth MORE then 4 grand. I was in complete shock by his ridiculous offer & the Nissan was an 8,600.00 truck WELL what they want for it. It’s worth MAYBE close to what my chevys KBB is. So if you want WAY WAY less & a ridiculous offer for your trade please go see these people IF NOT STAY AWAY ! Carlos was again such a nice sales guy BUT HIS BOSS LMFAO is one of those ones that wants something for nothing.

I worked with Jordan Hill on getting a new car and he worked his butt off to make sure I got what I wanted! Very honest salesman and he made my experience a good one and I got the car I wanted! He kept me updated often on the process to keep me in the loop, which I appreciated. I highly recommend asking for him when you’re searching for your next vehicle!

Had the experience of working with Brandon to pick up my Honda Veloster. After test driving the rigorously cleaned vehicle (not well cleaned …dirt came off everything inside) including the bonus condom left behind the previous owner I drove my newly purchased vehicle home. Less than a week later with no key fob or extra key offered the physical loose trunk button fell through completely. There is no release button inside. As hands are tied and not in the listed warranty, not much could be done. After being unable to see well or figure out why my lights are so dim and look like they are wobbling up and down as I’m driving at night I discovered they aren’t even mounted into the car. I was told to simply screw them in and once again hands were tied as even though the car was driven off in daylight and this wouldn’t of been noticed it isn’t included in warranty. Truly an amazing experience I will be sure to share with others ?

Buyer BEWARE! Stay far away from this dealer!

We purchased a 16′ Wrangler about 3 months ago. Paid a little over $24k for vehicle, $30k with warranty etc.

We haven’t gotten to enjoy the vehicle even one day. The vehicle has a shudder under acceleration that was not as prevalent when we test drove around town. We took a chance and purchased as the dealer offered a 30 day parts and labor warranty. When we contacted them regarding the laundry list of repairs needed they informed us they had us sign a paper that washed their hands of said warranty.

3 months and 3 shops later the issue isn’t resolved and now we are looking at having to replace the transmission. The only thing Motormax has offered is $350 towards the initial repair that cost over $900. They made us sign a paper saying they were not responsible further or we wouldn’t have even gotten that.

Motormax has continually talked trash about everyone involved except themselves. The vehicle was on their lot for 70 days, they knew what they were selling. I have never left a negative review for any business or service. These guys are the epitome of the shady car salesman. Think the Dad from Matilda.

Do yourself the favor and shop elsewhere. Had they even attempted to make this right rather than try to make me feel like the bad guy, I wouldn’t be here.Worst consumer experience in my life. At this point I’m thinking about letting the bank take it as there appears to be no solution in sight, I’m running out of money.

As a business owner I would never allow a customer to walk away as dissatisfied and out of options as I am. Even if I lost money my business would make it right. Motormax will undoubtedly have some snarky comment about how I’m making things up or inflating prices or that they satisfied my needs. Well I’m here to tell you I am not satisfied and the vehicle they sold me is not in working order, and has not been from day one. Hell couldnt even change the oil, the oil life was at 4% after 70 days on lot, they are buying cars at auction and simply jacking up the price and throwing them on the lot. There are certainly better dealers out there that deserve your business, Motormax is not them.

Carlos was my initial contact via email and I appreciated his low pressure approach. My wife and I were originally planning to test drive a few vehicles at different dealerships, but after the test drive exceeded our expectations and then talking things over with the manager Ryan, we realized he legitimately wanted to make a deal on the spot. I think we probably spent a little less than an hour taking care of the paperwork and arranging delivery of the vehicle the next morning. I’m not one who enjoys haggling and I don’t think I’ve set foot in a dealership in decades, so this amazingly smooth and low stress experience with MotorMax of Holland was a pleasant surprise.

  1. Fantastic dealership to go through to buy a car! My husband and I both bought cars through them recently and all the employees were friendly, helpful, efficient, responsive, and great to work with. Quite honestly I don’t like being pressured to buy a car, and Elhart did a great job at being honest and keeping the price/cost barebones and reasonable. WAY better than my experience with other dealerships in the Grand Rapids area who tack on extra fees for “location” and treat you like a fish in a shark tank. Definitely go see them at Elhart!

  2. I recently had work done for 2 recalls on my ‘21 Santa Fe Calligraphy. One of which was a second software update on the DCT transmission. I waited while the work was done. It was completed in 1 1/2 hours and now it operates like when it was new. Good job Elhart! I left the dealership very happy.

  3. Elhart has been the best dealership I’ve worked with in years. Friendly service done in a Timely manner.
I would highly recommend Elhart Hyundai and Hyundai service.

  4. Would highly recommend avoiding this dealership. The three year old, $35K used car I purchased wasn’t even safe to drive off the lot. I had a detailed conversation about the inspection the vehicle went through with the dealership, since I was going on a 400 mile trip back home right off the lot. The sales person told me about their 180 point inspection and how the mechanics are incentivized to repair and replace whatever is needed. After a couple of hours of driving I started to notice some issues. Turns out that three different ball joints were extremely worn and at risk of failure. Both front shocks were in need of replacement, on one shock the shock piston was snapped in half. The bushings on the UCA’s were in need of replacement. On top of that there seems to be some electrical problems as the TPMS, clock and nav system are malfunctioning. So far the repair costs are north of $3K and I’ve been without the vehicle for close to a month waiting for parts.

There’s no way that anyone who works on cars could have missed most of these issues. Checking for play in the front end while the car’s on the lift easily revealed the majority of the problems we’ve found so far.

To make matters worse I paid full price because the sales person told me that there was another person in line to buy the car. In retrospect, this was likely untrue.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been worked over this bad on a purchase. When ball joints separate it can cause a bad accident, and these were really bad. I feel lucky that this didn’t turn out worse. My attempts to reach out to the dealership have been met with silence. Hate to leave a review like this but hopefully others won’t be as stupid as I was and make a purchase from this dealership.

  5. My last four of my family’s vehicles have come from them COINCIDENTALLY. No nepotism. No allegiance. Just the best deals in used cars. Just the greatest selection in the West Michigan area. The fact that they make the transaction easy is a bonus for free.
