6 months agoWe did not buy a vehicle, so we don’t know how they handle that, but we did get our vehicle serviced. They got us in quickly and had our car done the same day. Everyone was friendly, professional, and informative. We did make an inquiry about a vehicle on the lot without a price on it (that always drives me nuts btw) and we received a call back with information. Technically, we received 4 calls from 4 different people giving us information on the car we looked at. They weren’t pushy, just giving us info. I lost everything in the hurricane my house, car clothes etc. I have been driving a beater car for 1 1/2 years. I found this beautiful caddy in Chicago and had it shipped down to Fort Myers CarMax. My hubby picked it up for me for Christmas! I was taken car of by Alejandro a young sharp salesman. He was fast and efficient got me in my new car in record time! Great experience all around and I will be back shortly to see him for my rag top/ convertible! Thanks for making car shopping a pleasant experience. I was disappointed with the degree of “reconditioning“ and the lack of follow through. We looked at the car on Thursday night and scheduled a time late Friday morning to complete the purchase, which was going to allow the CarMax team time to “clean up” the car. On Friday, in the daylight, I took a closer look at the tires, and the front tires seemed to be fairly worn, and I couldn’t really see that the car was any cleaner than the evening before. I asked them to check the tire tread depth. They indicated that the tires met their minimum requirement, which is double the legal requirement so they offered to replace the tires at cost, which seems like a fair option. I was told the service manager would contact me with a quote later in the day, but I have not heard back in over two weeks.
