a month agoPlease save your time and money and go elsewhere. Bought a use vehicle with less than 100k miles. Engine blew less than 6 weeks later. Took them 4 months and multiple return trips to “fix” the vehicle before they finally just sent it to another dealership to fix it where I had to pay more money. Just recently brought it back in for a simple OIL CHANGE. Figured what could go wrong. Less than one mile later, my entire dash lit up with service lights and the vehicle stopped moving. Brought it back in the next day just for them to refuse to look at it and state that the incident was unrelated to their service. The service representative was very rude, condescending, and had zero compassion. Now three days later and multiple shifts at work missed, I find out the tech forgot to plug a wire back in. Just wondering now if I will ever be able to drive away from there with a working vehicle.a month agoLiving in Idaho, and buying a car all the way in Bend Oregon that is nearly 7 hours away… I was a little skeptical at first. But after talking with Rex and Shannon, I felt okay making this big purchase. They communicated very well, very knowledgeable, and made the process very very smooth and fast. Shannon also was able to get my interest rate down a hair lower than what I had with my bank here in Idaho. They had Jacob pick me up from the airport, he was great and let us know more about the town and great places to eat. I then got a tour on my new car, making sure I know all the features it has. And then I was off! I got about 2 miles down the road when all of a sudden I got a system error. I called Rex and he answered right away and got my car into the mechanic immediately. After waiting about 10 minutes they came out and let us know it was going to be a little longer than expected due to it being a manufacturer issue when building the car. They gave us a $100 gift card for lunch and drove us to a place we wanted to eat. They then picked us up and gave aus a car to drive to go shopping! Jacob even put everything in the GPS to make it easier for us. Thank you to everyone involved for making this such an easy process and for the best customer service I have ever had. I will definitely be getting all my vehicles from Bend!! It is worth the 7 hour drive home. ?a month ago** Update-68 days later, 4 WD went out. Having to take it to a shop for $1,029 repair. Truck is only a few years old.**- Seth was great help. The manager and the fellow in the financing department were not. We were pressured and asked 8 different times about buying a warranty. I said No every time time, left to an appointment and found out after I left, my husband was asked and pressured again a few more times (totally unacceptable). Also, they try and sell vehicles with gas tanks on E – we had to ask for gas after spending $40,000 and driving a hour there. They should be filled up at least half way in my opinion. I would buy through Seth again, but unfortunately the others made us not have a good experience. If you ever buy from here, look closely at what they try to sneak in to the sales agreement (I literally had to point the $4k warranty out- never asked for it and they didn’t bring it up, just had a pen out asking for us to sign) , and stick to your guns on what you will or will not pay for. Other than that, they had a nice selection of vehicles and their building and waiting area was nice, clean and comfortable. Thank you Seth for helping us find a truck and being respectful during that time.3 months agoI was really impressed with the maintenance customer service reps this week at Lithia. Vehicle mechanical problems are stressful and inconvenient, and getting appointments anywhere is nearly impossible without waiting weeks or even months lately. I had an axle seal blow on my Wrangler and Quentin got me an appointment within days! I even goofed and showed up on the wrong day, but the staff still did their best to fit me in and sort out my mechanical issues, even while being short technicians. Everyone at the service counter was very welcoming and made sure I was helped as promptly as possible. Seriously great experience, and I’ll be glad to bring my Jeep to them in the future!

Not only did he explain every detail of the truck that I was to buy but after the deal was essentially done, (all with no pressure), he help me line up a top end sound system for the new truck and gave me valuable information on how and where to customize it. He even offered to pick me up at the airport and bring me back to the dealership while my truck was being customized over the next week as I am working out of state. He promptly returned every phone call and did everything he said he was going to do. As an owner of a general engineering company and having many employees and it’s refreshing to see somebody take such pride in their work. I will seek him out for all future purchases.3 months agoFive stars. I bought a new Bolt EUV here and they treated me really well. No pressure or sales tactics or sneaky up-charges, just clear communication, honesty and caring. They let me buy the car I wanted without pushing me into anything, and made sure I was comfortable along the way. I wish other dealers were like Chevrolet of Bend. Oh, and I love my new car!

My boyfriend and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Kendall Toyota! We went in today looking for a specific truck (which was sadly already sold), but we found one we absolutely fell in love with, and our two big dogs do too!! Hayes M. was amazing from the minute we stepped foot on the lot (even though they weren’t even open yet). He helped us test drive the truck, spent time helping us fill out paperwork, and helped us finance the truck by making sure we got the absolute best price and interest rate, he spent over five hours with us with undivided attention which was absolutely amazing! We couldn’t thank him enough for all his hard work. DEFINITELY check out this dealership and make sure you get Hayes you will not be sorry!
Wow, that was easy. After scrubbing the internet and visiting the lot several times after hours I finally decided to visit and talk to a salesman. After a no hassle intro, a quick and simple chart of options was presented. No pressure and transparent all the way through. Staff was friendly and nice plus took time to explain anything I had a question about. Financing was a breeze. And follow-up was great. Family friendly with a place for kids while you negotiate. Overall, the best experience I’ve had buying a rig. Kendall gained my trust and I will be returning anytime I need a vehicle or service..
My wife and I just had the worst service experience here at Kendall Toyota of Bend that we’ve ever had anywhere. We previously had great experience at Findlay Toyota dealership in Spokane, so when we moved to Bend we didn’t hesitate to take our car to Kendall. But, Kendall Toyota has effectively flushed our trust down the drain. I don’t expect dealerships to be cheap, but Kendall Toyota seems to be effectively gouging it’s customers. And if you’re going to price gouge me, you better at least give me a reason to trust your service, and honesty. Unfortunately, I’ve never trusted a dealership, or auto shop less than I do Kendall Toyota.
My wife dropped her car off here on Monday for them to take a look at the battery light and a high idle (which BTW began after it was last brought to Kendall). While dropping it off, they suggested a service. It was under mileage for a service, but sure that’s fine. The price quoted to inspect both issues was $380, not including the cost of the service. So, with the service ($90), we were looking at close to $500, before we could even address the initial issues we were concerned with. So, we decided to hold off on the high idle issue and focus on the alternator, knowing a battery light could indicate a failing alternator, in which case my pregnant wife could be left stranded somewhere. My wife let the service rep know that the battery had recently been replaced less than a year ago with an aftermarket battery and that it was a bit of a difficult fit. At that time he reiterated that the battery light is more associated with an alternator issue, not a battery issue. He then assured her they would inspect the alternator to ensure it was operating correctly. If it was, they wouldn’t charge her the $190 inspection fee. Sounded good since the alternator was what we really wanted to test all along.
Over 2 days later, when we finally get the inspection results, it doesn’t even mention the status of the alternator. Instead it calls attention to the battery and includes an assessment of $240 to replace the battery with no further explanation. No thanks, that’s effectively a total of $430 to replace a battery when you include the inspection fee. But, since they didn’t find anything wrong with the alternator, we thought the service rep might subtract the inspection fee, since that’s what he told her he would do, and since it was the alternator we wanted inspected all along. He did not.
All in all, I’m happy to count my losses here, and walk away to another shop that has some integrity, who we can trust.
I had two recalls on my 2023 Tundra that I bought from Kendall. I live an hour+ drive from the dealership. I made my appointment for both recalls to be fixed and got to the dealership 20 minutes early for my appointment . I was immediately checked and then TOLD they could only do one of the recalls. I said my appointment was for both of the recalls. He said that the one recall for the fuel line couldn’t be done because my fuel tank had to be at a quarter of a tank. I said why wasn’t I told this when I made the appointment? He asked who I spoke to and I gave him the name. He couldn’t have cared less. I told him that the fuel line recall is the one that I wanted fixed because of the risk of fire. All he said was sorry and basically dismissed me to the lobby. After waiting over double the time that the recall stated it would take, I was called. I got a different service guy who said the recall was complete and he had ordered the parts for the fuel line recall. I asked why would you have to order those parts when I was scheduled for the repair today? He replied that there wasn’t an interim fix yet for that repair. I said yes there is – that’s why I made the appointment and then I showed him the recall notice I had received. He read it – I told him that I was told I had to have 1/4 of a tank of fuel in order for the repair, yet when I scheduled the appointment I was not given this information nor does it say it anywhere on the recall notice. His response, “hmmm”. He provides the copy of the paperwork for me to sign when I notice that they have put on their paperwork that I had declined the repair for the recall and that they had explained the importance of having this done! I am completely disgusted with this service department! They lie and then try to cover up their lies by falsifying their paperwork. They NEVER value the customer’s time or their concerns. If I could go lower than one star I would!! The sales department is great – the service department is horrible!
