I was asked to write a review upon purchasing but nah I need to see what I have first to write a honest review and my experience may not be yours. Let me start by saying I’ve had my SUV for under a year…Not a good one!! Since day one I’ve had to continuously inflate my tires, there’s some major missing going on at times when you put the a/c on, and super major shaking when you brake(I thought it was from the low tire pressure & has been going on since my purchase). I brung the truck into the mechanic shop only to learn there’s an almost $1,000 problem on top of another major problem (not sure of the cost but I think it’s more expensive than the other)that obviously needs to be completed before being able to get other minor work done. No one should have to spend this type of money when you haven’t even had the vehicle a damn year! On top of dat I’m stuck with a overpriced car note and a very high interest rate! Just buy a new car! It’s not even worth it!!

But this time when we bought a car recently, it was a different experience. After we bought the car, took it home, and double checking on the various features and parts of the car, we found that the spare tire was very bad one–it was torn and had no air in it! We had to take it back to them on the same day, although they replaced the spare tire with a good one, the experience was too upsetting. We had not expected this kind of an experience from them.

Price and everything was fine I sold my car, but I arrived exactly at 3pm and wasn’t able to leave till 6:30pm. All I had to do was sell my car.
Paperwork had to be reprinted 4 times. I provided my license 6 times with all the correct information, and was give wrong name, wrong address, wrong pay off (0% interest so no daily interest) Was offered a ride and wasn’t even told was complete just got a text -Lyft is outside.
What could’ve been a 30-60 min sale took 3hours plus. My day was wasted for no reason.
It was a long time coming but my experience at Carmax went well. Tracie was a phenomenal salesperson. She was able to answer questions I had and was very helpful every step of the way. Khenedi was also very informative and efficient with the signing process.
The process was seamless. I found a car on the Internet that I wanted from Carmax. They transported it from Dallas to Baton Rouge for about $200, and it was in within seven days.
I got a chance to go to the local Carmax and test, drive it and inspect the car. I completed a lot of the paperwork online for the purchase and trade in. Period. The purchase and title process still took about two hours, but overall that’s about the same as most dealerships.
I would recommend them.
Unfortunately, CarMax is not a reliable and long-term partner that you can trust. The company’s loyalty and commitments are based on short-term transactional business goals. The customer is only as valuable as the transaction’s net profit. You always seem to leave with a sour taste due to the company’s inflexibility and noncaring employee attitudes. Now twice. My family and I have had a bad experience at the hands of the employees. The level of customer service provided here is very inconsistent, unpredictable, and one-dimensional. The business office is robotic, and the management team lacks empathy. Clients want to be respected, understood, valued, and appreciated. You have missed the mark for a large percentage of your customers. I question this company’s integrity. CarMax’s business practices are unfair, unreasonable, and harmful to their customers. Their policies lack a human touch, are poorly thought-out, and are inconsiderate of customers’ needs. I ask this company to return to the basics and respect the customer’s time. Please give some consideration to your client’s needs. The dealership’s processes are very off-putting and shameful. I cannot recommend this car dealer in good faith. CarMax, you’ve made it too hard to do business with you. What a waste of my time, energy, and effort going out of my way to essentially try to make CarMax my first choice and destination. I have learned that loyalty doesn’t pay or matter. My loyalty to CarMax costs me an awful lot. I want you to know that will not happen again!
