in the last weekI left the store with disgust because of incompetent people who would tarnish your corporate identity. I put on the coat I bought today and put my old coat in the bag. At the exit, an alarm went off that we didn’t know what it was, and the security wanted to treat us like thieves. I wanted to explain but he was such an idiot. He wanted to go through the pockets of my old coat. I got angry and returned the coat. Why not open up more checkouts? Tills are only for cash payments.

My teen daughter loves H&M for the style and great prices and was eager to visit one in the hike country. After checking out the three (!!) locations on Oxford street (jam packed and a total mess) I offered to take her someplace I hoped was more chill. It worked! Not too many people, plenty of staff. But merchandising wasn’t great (lots of items mis-shelved) and very few smaller sizes (nothing below UK 8). And the staff seemed a little angry (which I get – retail is hard – and it was never directed at us). I actually found this store stocks a lot more than the larger store on Regent Street. It was a pleasant surprise because the sake items were far better stocked and trendier items available. Staff are friendly and despite being so busy, store was quite clean.
Affordable fashion and clothing. From office wear to home clothes there is good range for men women and kids. This is the biggest H&M store that I have been. One stop clothing shop for families. Good range to choose. Use membership card to avail discounts
What on earth is going on?!!!
I popped into your flagship store in London Oxford circus at lunchtime today Tuesday, August 8. I hardly saw any staff other than the two behind the cash till who looked a little stressed when I clocked them.
I only popped in for an online (purchase) refund but thought I would look for an umbrella too, consider it was raining. I did manage to find someone to ask who was sorting the sale racks but, unfortunately you don’t; so I thought I would have a look at the sales before heading to the tills.
I manged to find a couple of treats for my wardrobe ?
When I got near the tills the queue was at least 15 people deep, the same 2 staff behind the tills who by now were looking so confused & stressed.
No one helping them plus they were also supporting exchanges & refunds too.
One of your team came out from the back & was supporting the self-check out till, I asked her if there was anyone else who could help on the tills, but she said she did not understand me. I speak very clear English.
I noticed at least two customers who had loads of clothes in their arms walk out from the queue & store, got fed up waiting I guess.
A delivery chap also arrived, he too had to wait until one of the staff serving could assist him.
No one could find the manager!
When this person arrived (the manager) one of the team behind the till said “I need to go on my break”, this was kinda met with deaf ears…
I heard the manager then asking another staff member who else is on the floor, only for the colleague to say “only me”
Wow, don’t you know how much staff you have on your shop floor?!
Really disappointed H&M!
Considering people want to buy from you, customers walking out when this could have been a sale it really is not good enough.
Please sort out your staffing issue, I don’t want to spend my entire lunch break queuing in your store.
I’ve visited this store yesterday. I’ve had one of the best experience in H&M by one of the manager.
If I remember correctly her name was Richy, such a friendly service with passion. Compliments and a huge thank you!
I hope that I’ll see her in the store next time.
09/16/23 – Refund scam
I was at H&M this afternoon, asked for a refund, asked security who kindly took me to the checkout.
I was there until 5 p.m. with a young white woman, tall and with black hair, who really didn’t seem happy to be a cashier at your place, the least she could do is greet the guests properly. clients.
After receiving my refund, I count the money in my hand and realize that she took ≈£4 out of my refund. I went to tell her, but as soon as I said excuse me, she looked at me and turned her head to ignore me. I put the receipt and the money on the counter without saying anything so that she understood my dissatisfaction and she heard it and directly took the exact amount without knowing my request… she withdrew my refund from the cash register and gave it to me. She knew she scammed me. Unacceptable.
Employee ethics must be a priority.
