The food and atmosphere were better than expected. The drinks were awesome! Great girls night out. Our waiter Cory was wonderful. All appetizers were yummy and rhe shrimp and grits exceeded my expectations. Would come back and recommend to others.By Frances Barnes (8 months ago)Great experience on the last night of Tacoma Restaurant Week! Rosemary bread with two compound butters was delicious, and the calamari was tasty although the strips were a bit thick for me. Steak was seasoned well and cooked to perfection with two satisfying sides. But those donuts for dessert were the best damn donuts!!!! Will definitely return.By Lindsay Jackson (8 months ago)This is one of our favorite restaurants. The seafood here is cooked very nicely. The halibut and salmon here is cooked to perfection. I will say I think they need to work on cooking their artichoke more though. I don’t really like the feeling of still chewing the artichoke at the end and never being able to get through it. I like that the staff is knowledgeable about what’s Gluten-Free and what is not. I appreciate so much that our server let us know that the fries are not Gluten-Free and brooe stuff down in detail.By Raychel Schultz (8 months ago)The location and views are honestly 10/10. S the service was decent. It was fairly crowded. The crab stuffed fish was excellent (my meal pictured). The bread is also a must have appetizer. The asparagus was blah and the salmon was disappointing. :/ we will for sure be back for the drinks and dessert!!By King Arthur (6 months ago)The food was delicious!! The atmosphere was great, enjoyed the view out on the water while we enjoyed lunch. Our waitress was amazing and did a great job recommending menu items! Will definitely be returning.By Niki B (11 months ago)

Giving 3 stars because the staff was amazing, attentive and had great personality. In chain places, this is what saves everything. The server at one point said, if you’re coming to red lobster, your getting good lobster. He made good on this after 2 of our group returned their lobsters because they were rubbery, and one burnt. You could see the char on it. One of mine was a little over done, but the other was rubbery and encrusted to the shell that while trying to get it out, part of the shell flung across the table. It still tasted well enough, but a couple of 40 dollar lobster tails shouldn’t fight back after it’s already dead. All said, the steak was really great. A couple of us had great lobster, the seasoning was great, and they had really good chicken strips of all things that slightly reminded you of a good home made chicken strip with a nice crunch that was also soft. Oh, drinks weren’t bad either compared to a lot of chains. They weren’t stiff, but you could actually taste the alcohol. I’d like to come back for the chicken, as the flavor was as good as Popeye’s in the same parking lot in it’s own way in a more natural taste, but much less crunch and the wait staff, who graciously put up with a lot and remained very great. I would recommend going when it’s not busy so they can keep an eye on any lobster under a heat lamp a little closer. Still a very pleasant experience all in all. Oh, the biscuits changed, seem more like a soft roll almost now. Still tasty.By Mark Nickel (3 months ago)Wen made our dining experience amazing. He took our orders right away and made sure we were comfortable and taken care of throughout our entire stay. He never overstayed or check on us too often. The food was amazing and I was reminded again why I love coming back to this Red Lobster location. The choices are plentiful and enough for anyone looking to switch things up once in a while. Wen answered any questions we had and even accommodated us with a request that wasn’t listed on the menu. Thanks team for making our date perfect!By Paul L (databaseguy17) (a year ago)Really disappointed in the quality of the food. The lobster was basically impossible to remove from the shell, rubbery and way over cooked. The lobster cheese added to the potatoes was overly salted and so were the potatoes. We usually really enjoy coming here but the food was awful this time around. I understand we dined at 830 PM and they close at 10 PM but I feel for what we paid that at least it should be cooked correctly and under seasoned is better than over. It wasn’t that edible. The staff was super friendly.By Holla Pino (6 months ago)Excellent all you can eat Monday special, four items to choose from with one side.
Shrimp 🍤 scampi and Parrot coconut breaded Shrimp 🍤 😋.
Fast and excellent service by a professional waitress.

The steak I had was so tough you couldn’t chew it the coconut shrimp was over cooked and greasy. The waiter didn’t bring my salad until the end and I had to ask for it. The waiter never came back one time and ask to fill our water or was there anything else we needed nothing.By Janet Beaver (3 months ago)

Stanley and Seafort’s is an institution in Tacoma. If you want to step back into time a few decades to see a great view, lots of dark wood, and marble, come here.
I got a bowl of lobster bisque to start and a 16oz prime rib to finish me off. The bisque was excellent. Creamy, tangy, and thick. The will say my dinner arrived a few minutes early, in my opinion. But, damn, was it great. The herbs stick with the beef, no matter where you are munching. Thankfully, it’s not overly salty. The potatoes are lovely but the cream kale? It was OK, if a little odd.
Come here for the food and the excellent service.
By Mac Sauce (5 months ago)The first thing you have to note is the incredible view! The staff was friendly and even accommodated our schedule as we had to fly out rather quickly. Thank you Ben! The decor and inside seemed a little dated but didn’t take away from the experience. It was well maintained. The food and drink were excellent.By Paul Barina (5 months ago)I made a reservation, but I had to wait 5-10 minutes to get a seat guide.
Some of the water glasses that were prepared at the place where they were guided were dirty and asked to be changed.
The drink came out quickly, but it took about 45 minutes for the shareables to come out and the main food came out.
I was able to check the time it took for the food to come out with the time I took the photo because it wasn’t too much.
Also, when the adult was almost finished eating the main dish, the french fries ordered from the kids menu came out.
However, the food was delicious overall, and the overall atmosphere was very good.
I would recommend this restaurant if it doesn’t matter if the food comes out late.By Rachel Park (a year ago)I’ve frequented Stanley and Seafort’s over the years and I do believe that they used to be a 5 star restaurant. The service is fantastic and the view is always amazing. But, it seems as if the quality of food has gone down. When ordering a steak for more than 60 dollars it should have good flavor and be cooked specifically to the order. Unfortunately mine was extremely chewy and over cooked whilst lacking flavor. The calamari also seemed as if it was more breading than meat. Other than that, the drinks and service were absolutely phenomenal.By myskoae (6 months ago)It’s an expensive chain steak place with a good view. I personally find the $50 minimum per plate a bit much, but if you’re trying to impress someone with a first date or having a business dinner then it’s a good choice.Wine selection seems to have a $3-$5 mark up on the bottles, but the selection itself was not bad.
The steak and seafood was correctly cooked and flavorful if not a bit rich, so people with acid reflux beware.
Overall I’d give it a 6/10, not because it’s bad or anything, just not my kind of place.

Sat at the bar and had their raw oysters and clam chowder. Oysters were amazing and a decent size. Pairs very well with Odin beer (has a dinosaur on the tap) Clam chowder was very filling, hits the spot on a cold day. Make sure to get the large bowl. Will definitely come back here again.By Vanessa Bersola (8 months ago)Great service and awesome tasty food! The portions were above average and we left very satisfied! The atmosphere was inviting and they also had many adult drinks to choose from. They were also very accommodating to our 10 guests. We will be back again ❤️By Rima Mansoli (7 months ago)First thing. The best bread pudding I have ever eaten. And I normally do not like dessert. My wife is the dessert person and as I will take a bit of stuff she gets…. But this white chocolate raspberry bread pudding was amazing. It was warm and fluffy. AMAZING!!! Also the tempura string beans were awesome, better than most French fries. The halibut fish and chips were definitely on point. Staff was great as well. Loved the waterfront location. Worth the wait to sit in the deck.By Anthony Gruber (6 months ago)I had the seafood dip and crab Mac and cheese. The seafood dip was freakin fire! I can’t recommend that enough! The lobster Mac and cheese was eh. It was honestly just noodles with some sauce sprinkled with a little bit of crab. I’ve seen other pictures on here of the Mac and cheese with more cab than I had but maybe it just wasn’t their day. Anyway the service was great and I want to come back to try the lobster roll. I herd it was good!By Lee Bands (3 months ago)Service was good. Sat outside on the patio and was able to bring my dog. Ordered the fish & chips…no bells & whistles but filled the bill. Dined in for lunch on a Monday around 1:30. Restaurant was relatively quiet inside but the few tables outside were occupied since it was a nice sunny day.By S Jones (3 months ago)

Delicious clam chowder!!! We were visiting friends in Tacoma and they highly recommended Duke’s. Friendly service, cute decor, clean bathrooms and the location is great! We were craving clam chowder and it was one of the best clam chowder that we have ever had! They bring you sourdough bread and butter. We also ordered steam clams and they were also delicious! I highly recommend Duke’s!!
Fresh and tasty said my palette! Our salads were fresh, with good veggies and mine with scallops and shrimp (in addition with my favorite, avocado). Those fried Cod tacos though were a hit! They’re not on the menu, but they were willing and able – great creation indeed. Thanks for frying my sweet potato fries crispy like I like I them!
My servers name was Herschel and This was some of the best service I have had in a very long time!
The food was amazing.
The clam chowder is delicious. The bacon nosh bites were excellent.
The star of the meal was definitely the crab cakes.
I will definitely be coming back.
Excellent seafood, staff and service!
I’ve been a regular at Dukes for about 7 years now. It’s a great local spot with friendly service and excellent food. Super high standards that match my own, it’s a regular stop for me when family and friends come in from out of town as well as a place to chill on my own.
Make sure you check out their happy hour, seven days a week from 3-6 pm as well as 9pm- close. Regular portions, same high quality, at a discount!
Come to Dukes, you won’t be disappointed!
Classic restaurant on the waterfront in Tacoma. Great service on a very busy day with every table occupied.
First class food including free chowder for veterans. I had the Parmesan halibut which was cooked to perfection. Served with lovely “little red fingerling potatoes” garnished with capers.
This is not an inexpensive place to dine but, it is well worth it.
Dukes has been around for over 40 years and offers an e-mail club which provides substantial discounts. I am joining today!
If you like seafood. This is your go to place. Loved it.
