  1. Tables all reserved, but the lounge had tables with a view, and the same menu as the restaurant! Service was great. Happy staff, who really care.
Oysters are tiny with wonderful taste. Beef ribs and scallops were both Yum. We ordered 2 more sides of green beans with lemon sauce as they stole the show! Creme Brulee was just as I had hoped.

  2. The food is good, but the drinks are the uncontested draw. Sure there’s a phenomenal view, but the cocktails outshine all that.
I heard so many customers pleading for window seats; some were polite about it, others were not so friendly. But the staff took it all in stride, and never let their professionalism falter.
If you want to impress someone who’s visiting from out of town, while keeping them safe from a grittier, more authentic Portland experience, this is the place to go.

  3. Incredible views of the city and a great selection of food and drinks for Happy Hour with reasonable prices. We loved our cocktails and finger food and the service staff was great too. Overall, a very enjoyable and pleasant experience.
Parking in the building is expensive but they validate for 2 hours. We paid $8 after validation since we stayed for 3 hours. The place tends to get busy around 5 and Fridays tend to be very busy.
Would definitely visit again and highly recommend to anyone visiting Portland. You won’t regret the experience.
They also have a dining room and reservations are highly encouraged for that. The bar room seating is first come first serve from my experience. The entrance is via the main lobby and you can take the elevator to the 30th floor (which is marked with Portland City Grill on the elevator keypad). Keep in mind that the elevators are locked until their opening time which is 4pm.

  4. If you’re looking for a really cozy cool atmosphere rooftop this is it.

Great panoramic views of downtown Portland. Great restaurant, had the appetizers mussels delicious the sushi was great.

All the way around service was wonderful. live piano and huge bar area as well as large dinning seating area.

Parking is covered access is easy. Would I go here again, absolutely

  5. You pay for the view! We only come in for their Happy Hour in the bar area…. Otherwise, we simply don’t find their food quality worth their price point. Definitely a great ambiance for first dates or special occasions. The city looks magical at night!

The view was beautiful. Well worth the visit alone….now it very close to the airport..so the plans are fun conversation interrupters….the food was good although my grits were more like cornmeal, it tasted good a little different from what I’m used to in the south. My companion loved his crab Louie. WE enjoy the shrimp cocktail..big and cooked well. The oysters were ok..fresh but not very flavorful.

Beautiful view of the Columbia River on north marine drive in Portland. Great seafood choices. Indoor and outdoor seating on two levels- plus bar seating and giant windows to enjoy the boats on the water. Everything on the menu is delicious- priced accordingly but not unfairly. Upscale but relaxed atmosphere. Valet parking. Wonderful but very pricey cocktail menu.

Wow great meal, great atmosphere, and fantastic service from Theo! Sitting on the deck was wonderful with an 80 degree evening and beautiful sunset. My wife had the scallops and shrimp and I had the grilled ahi tuna. Both were delicious and even better with the tasty margaritas.

Went for my Mother in-law’s Birthday and it was really great! The waitress was so fantastic. Super friendly to my son as well as great with everything else.

The food was delicious and pretty tasty drinks as well.

Plus you can’t beat the view!

I was greeted warmly. Jade was our server. He gave us exceptional service; great pace. Knowledgeable about menu. Food was good. Tried old fashioned with Buffalo Trace 🙂.
Lemon drop is exceptional with huckleberry flavored vodka.
No wait. Restaurant was clean. Ample parking.

It took Several minutes for the waiter to get to our table but once there the pace of the food and service picked up considerably. ordered the Jake’s Etouffe and was very happy With the amount of seasoning. Liked them leaving the rice in a clump so that I could put as much as I wanted. Would have enjoyed it more if the shrimp had been fried In a skillet rather than boiled. This gives a completely different texture to the shrimp and more flavor in the a them.

The sole was well seasoned but a bit tough. The crab cakes were perfect!

The food and service were so good. I can’t remember our servers name but she was so
Attentive and fast! All her recommendations were top notch! Even the drinks. The places is so nice it reminds me of an old movie where a speak easy would be. We went right at lunch time so there was no wait. I was so full I couldn’t try dessert but it all looked very delicious. Glad my classmate told me about this place. If you’re visiting Portland it’s a must go! I had the stuffed salmon my mom
Had the chicken pasta and the crab dip appetizer was DANGING!

Crab and artichoke dip was pretty red pepper heavy which wasn’t expected but overall good. Pita was crunchy, garlicky and salty which paired with the dip nicely. The calamari was tasty however the dipping sauce had an interesting tang to it not your usual aioli to go with calamari. The special we split for our meal was delicious. The cheese sauce the crab and shrimp was mixed in and stuffed into the perfectly prepared salmon. The green beans were cooked to perfection and the mashed potatoes didn’t disappoint. Definitely would recommend.

Welcome back to a time when dining out was a special event. Jake’s has all the stuff that makes a person enjoy shelling out their hard-earned bucks and feel generous and gratitude for being so well taken care of. Servers have panache and an ear to the ground. Want to know about nightlife? Done. Local haunts, done. What to order curated by knowledgeable staff, done. Atmosphere screams personal engagement. Guests in the bar mingled amongst each other, shared stories and dined like kings. Drinks were generous club pours and bespoke martinis with blue cheese-stuffed olives flowed like wine, each sip stinging the sweet slurp of oyster liquor and vibrant mignonette. Succulent Dungeness crab and gloriously creamy Alfredo paired like poetry to the palate. Prepare to be pampered. Prepare for a food coma. Prepare to be satisfied. For our epicurean evening was the main event. We were spent, satisfied, elated and wrapped by the warm embrace of an excellent evening. The perfect setting for a successful date.

Went here 7/23/2022, honestly, most amazing seafood I’ve ever had! I absolutely love the aesthetic of the place. The staff are dressed in the most amazing, classy outfits. I love how nice our waitress Natalie was! She was on it with the martinis and food. She checked up on us quite a bit, super polite woman. I came here for my birthday and they gave me a free piece of flour -less, dark chocolate cake with a bitter rasperry syrup. It’s on the expensive side, but it’s worth it. They treat you very very well.

We were there for dinner before a show downtown. The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was a highlight. The Dungeoness crab roll was perfectly seasoned, with just the right light amount of mayonnaise. The clam chowder with gnocchi instead of potato was great. And the sea bass was wonderful. And beyond all of that, the service was incredibly fast. Highly recommend and will be going back.

This is not the best I have eaten the seafood in Portland so far. The oysters kind of less tasty than the usual sweetness that I enjoyed. The claimed Brussels sprouts are overrated as it was rather too sweet to be good. The clam chowder was great and the steam clam is yummy! I don’t like the way the grilled octopus has been prepared as I prefer the whole tentacles to be served instead. The fish and chip just average but the grilled cod fish with bacon wrap rather disappointing as the fish is not so fresh and over cooked. The wine selection are good and decent in price.

First time in Portland and I’m from Louisiana. So I was curious to find out how the seafood is in Portland. This doesn’t come close to Cajun seafood, but it’s still delicious. This is one of those quiet places you can come to and enjoy a drink and eat good food. This is the type of place where you come back and bring a date or a friends to chat. The staff is extremely tentative, the establishment is clean and the food is good. I just walked right in on a Saturday. So I’m not 100% sure if you need a reservation or not but I will call in advance and plan accordingly.

The service was really friendly. The outdoor and indoor space is nice. The food options are wonderful. I recommend the clam chowder. It tasted fresh and tons of flavor. The oysters could have been better but the watermelon vinaigrette was an excellent pairing. The rest of the meal was just ok. I would say check it out for yourself.

A nice place to enjoy a lunch meeting among colleagues. The place has a spacious feel to it. The restaurant specializes in many seafood items but also has items that are not seafood. I decried to have a burger. The burger was prepared perfectly at a medium level for me. Please make sure to add the bacon if you decide to get the burger. The service here was also pretty attentive.

There’s a lot of people walking by and so the staff have to decipher who is actually wanting to be seated and eat at the restaurant there. The staff were very attentive and I got a seat very quickly. The view from the outdoor table could not be beat, open air, cool breeze, not right next to or in the middle of a parking lot. Lots of nature. Very good vibes. The food was great but do expect to pay a little bit more than average here, but hey that is okay every once in a while! 🙂 The staff were helpful and friendly, and there was no Top Forty music in the background. Quality experience with out many of the modern annoyances. I would recommend this place greatly.

I’ve had a lot of steak, filet mignon specifically, all over the country… This was hands down the best steak of my life! It just melts as soon as it hits your tongue. The service (Karen was our waitress), wine, and dessert were excellent as well. Don’t miss this place if you’re in the area! Highly recommend!

Very nice! Outdoor seating on the waterfront. Took awhile to get our food due to staff shortage but everything was delicious! Perfect for date night or after work happy hour!

Met a few friends for dinner. We started with a couple of appetizers – calamari and shrimp kisses (Pepper Jack Cheese / Bacon Wrapped). We all had various fish dishes – cedar roasted Atlantic salmon, fish & chips, Pacific rockfish, Jameson Irish Whiskey Roasted Salmon (Chef’s choice). A good tip is to ask where the fish originated. The roasted Atlantic salmon wasn’t farmed salmon like the Chef’s choice). Both salmon dishes were cooked to perfection (not dry). If you enjoy seafood, this is the place to go for fresh and tasty seafood dishes.

We were too full to order dessert. Service was friendly and attentive. Parking could be a challenge on the street but there are parkades nearby.

    Placed reservation online.
Received a text msg asking for confirmation of attendance and a phone call to confirm attendance.
Member of my party checked in before time and advised I’d get a text msg.
When it got to be a few minutes past the time reserved, I approached the front desk.
Was advised it would be a few more minutes.
We had a 2 yr old with us and needed a high chair.
We were seated un the upper level with another family who had one child.
Other table stayed emptied while we were there.
Restaurant ran out of lobster bisque.
Times between each meal delivery and drink delivery was lengthy due to shortness in staff.
Our waiter was friendly and responsive.
Shrimp kisses was delicious and cooked perfectly.
Salad that was a part of the prix fixe menu was rather large but everyone enjoyed it.
I ordered the herb grilled chicken; green beans were good perfectly but the mashed potatoes and chicken were average and not much flavor to either item.
Lobster in the scampi dish was overcooked but the shrimp was cooked well.
We knew based on the length of time of food and drink being served, we needed to place our dessert orders while we were still eating our entrees.
Upside down apple pie with ice cream was delicious for the parts we could eat as the ice cream was half way melted when served and portions of the crust were burnt.
Location overlooking the marina was nice.

For the price point and reputation, I had expected more in terms of service and food quality.
