Excellent food! The service great once they agree to serve you at the bar. The 4 star review is because of that. The hostess told us that we can wait for the table at the bar or get the full service there if we want. We let the bartender know that we would like to order food there but they served us drinks and ignored our request for a while. After us asking what’s going on, the bartender told us that we have to walk back to the hostess and let her know first. I have never heard such a thing before and even if that’s their practice why couldn’t they let us know about it when we first asked to be served at the bar?!
At least the food was very tasty and we were able to leave happy!
Hope this review will change things in their system.

The wife, me and the kids came here for dinner. We have had there pizza and wings from the pizza shop out back but never went inside the restaurant. So we today we did there is 5 of us when we went in we got sat down right away. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. My 2 girls had spaghetti and meatballs and my son had there French bread pizza and they all loved it. Me and the wife had lasagna and that was really good too. We travel to the finger lakes a lot And will definitely be back

We had a wonderful dinner here. Wait time was 10mins, food came out quickly even though they were busy. Our waiter Ryan was attentive and friendly. Good food! Definitely will come back when visiting the area.

Best NY pizza I’ve bet had hands down! We did half with friend chicken ranch base (not what I would normally choose but the flavor was phenomenal) and other half meat lovers… there’s some sort of amazing crack seasoning on the crust too! 😂 nice they let you do half and half for specialty pizzas.

Service was a little slow and it’s more than I would like to pay for Pizza but it was worth it for this pizza I hope o get back for it!

Came here for midweek dinner. BBQ was great. We came 1.5 hours before closing and they were out of brisket and chicken. However they still had wings and the chopped brisket, which they replaced in their brisket combos. The chopped brisket was moist and delicious. The wings were delicious as well. Highly recommend! Just come earlier

Great service and food. We ordered the Pitmaster Combo, which allows you to taste a “little bit” of everything. It should be enough for three people. We were two, but we were super hungry. ✌🏻😅

Food was tasty, price is decent, and Nickel’s Pit has a great environment too. I definitely recommend this place.

Had the brisket lovers combo, brisket was really tasty. Thought it was a little expensive for $30 but everything was fresh, hot and tasted good. Also had a side of ribs where were great.

Really enjoyed the Carolina BBQ sauce.

The entire restaurant was busy which was a good sign, would recommend if you’re in the area.

Loved it! We took our pup and they were so sweet to her. Immediately brought her a bowl of water and a little treat. Food was great! Our server, John, made some great recommendations. Nachos were excellent! Wings had great flavor. Very impressed and hoping to get back before our vacation ends!

I can’t say enough about this place. Pulled pork, brisket, hot sauce, and their house bbq sauces are all phenomenal. If you’re anywhere in the neighborhood, do yourself a favor and stop in. The hostesses and the waitress were all amazing. Don’t forget to bring an extra $10 to tip the cooks, they absolutely deserve it!

We were on our way out of town after spending a weekend at a lake house and decided to stop here for breakfast with the group before hitting the road. Everyone’s breakfast was really great! The server was very nice and accommodating of 10 people. The place has nice decorations and is a very open and clean feel to it. Will definitely go there again when we are in town next.

We had breakfast here before going to the hike. The place was cute and lovely. The waiter was very friendly and thoughtful. Food was decent regarding both quality and size. The overall menu prices are pretty affordable. I’d highly recommend the restaurant if you plan to eat something before hiking. Will visit back again in future.

Need a rest room break so found this place, really nice clean bathroom. Ladies one with baby changing table. Store has tons of spices and candies by the lb and in boxes. They also offered hot food but cannot comment since we didn’t buy. We did order their iced mocha latte which was good.

In town for a hike @ Watkins Glen Gorge Trail. Had the Swiss and Mushroom omelet. You can’t go wrong with hometown diners right? Simple, reasonably priced breakfast.

Fast service and food was cooked well. Went for breakfast and were seated immediately. No complaints from the kids = major win! Very basic breakfast menu had “the necessities” with no noticeable bells and whistles. I’d go back without hesitation.

My husband and I ordered some food to go. I got the berry chicken salad and that was okay — nothing to write home about. My husband enjoyed the soup of the day, which was a turkey sausage and kale soup. The sweet potato fries were so burned! I don’t know how someone thought that was acceptable to send out.

We landed on this unimpressive overpriced Rooster Fish establishment during a stroll of the main street after walking in Watkins Glen. This joint prices itself like a fancy gastropub brewery/winery restaurant but falls far below that in quality and ambiance.

We got the Three Brothers Apple Bomb cider, fried Brussels sprouts, and mozzarella flatbread.

Cider was cold and fizzy, smelled like fall. Half pint available, but at a price ($7-8)!

However, the food was quite lacking. Brussels sprouts ($12-13) were over-fried resulting in only being able to eat half the dish! The aioli accompaniment was good but could only do so much to hide the burnt taste. The aioli was key in our getting any semblance of enjoyment out of the flatbread. The menu said there would be tomato, mozzarella, and basil. The flatbread itself was nice and carby but lacked even the personality of Costco naan, hardly toasted. Tomato was scant and not flavorful. Mozzarella was more plentiful, the end. From the price of the flatbread ($16), I had expected fresh basil but instead got scant flakes that did little to add flavor or aroma.

We stopped by down town to visit the State Park and to have an appetizer and drink before the races. Staff was very friendly and a great seat at a open window to watch the downtown traffic but service was slow. I ordered a flight all were good except one that was warm and flat and definitely not a proper pour (as you can see from pic) Hubby just got a pour and enjoyed that. Appetizer was nachos to share very disappointed chips were stale and used poured on jar cheese with canned jalapeños just awful:( not only that but when we looked at previous review they looked nothing like other have posted.) Not to mention we had got there when they had opened at 11:30 and when use of the bathroom trash was pouring out on to the floor no paper towels and toilet wobbled when sat on!

The food was very good. The service was very good as well. The outdoor seating was nice and clearly a heavily desired seating area. The vegan options were tasty though the sprouts were no longer available when we were there.

we dined at the wildflower cafe on a Saturday afternoon and our server Alyssa was the best! super nice and attentive to us. I ordered a beer flight and all the beers i tasted were enjoyable. The nachos were super cheesy and filling, my friends got french fries and we were all satisfied with the appetizers that were ordered. we sat by the window which allowed for fresh air and people watching, would definitely stop by again.

A short trip to Watkins Glen while craving decent Thai food went great. Went here for dinner and it was packed but not too crowded yet the staff was super helpful. We ordered Pad Thai with Beef, Spicy Basil Fried Rice with Chicken, and Crab Rangoon (surprisingly a super yummy starter!!). The price and portion were fair and also I haven’t finished my fried rice while probably my expression looked full – the staff was super attentive and offered me a to-go box. Will go back here for the Rangoon and pad Thai also maybe the iced Thai tea? 😋

Best Thai food I’ve had to date. Everything was fresh and good quality. I had the Thai dumplings and green cury at the heat level Thai hot 🔥. Both were absolutely wonderful very yummy.

Next time I would get it medium only because my eyes and nose were really running!

Also pictured the spring roll, sweet and sour chicken and the ginger chicken

Could have a few more dumplings in the appetizer, 4 is not very much.

If your thinking about going, just go, this place is great.

I left feeling mostly full of great tasting food and that I paid a fair price.

Came in and got seated right away. I was a bit skeptical about all the other positive reviews. Being from NJ we have a broad selection of Thai restaurants to choose from. This one met them and actually exceeded most of them. Service was prompt, and polite. Food came out quick and had a fresh and authentic taste. I had the Tom Yum soup, the Thai salad (one of the best peanut dressings I have ever had) and crispy duct in a Thai sauce. Everything was excellent and I would highly recommend.

Unique restaurant just off the main street in Watkins Glen. Restaurant was nice and clean. Food selection was authentic Thai and was quite extensive. Food quality was very good. Came out hit and fresh. Definitely adding to my list of places to go when in Watkins. If you like Thai food, give it a try.

My first time eating Thai! We definitely picked the right place. Authentic Thai food, no fusion here, and made by Thai chefs! Our server was great helping with suggestions, and navigating the heat index. What an experience! Now we need to find an authentic Thai restaurant near where we live!!
